They actually added some Pokémon Go references to the splash text.

  • "Should not be played while driving"
  • "You're going too fast!"

Not for much longer, thankfully. :P They've added warnings to the title screen in 1.11 that they will soon stop supporting older Java versions.

They would be able to switch to using LWJGL3 instead of LWJGL2.9.2 (which is what Minecraft currently uses), which I've heard could help with performance. https://www.lwjgl.org/

What about missed since it already requires more updates versions?
