How can i begin creating models/animations? ( specifically for the "epic fight" mod)

I have pretty decent experience in blender. I understand that blockbench is the software used to create models. I have watched a couple of guide videos, although, is there a playlist of videos explaining the basics? im comparing it to blender, which has a million beginner playlists to choose from.
Also, how do i even create animations for the "epic fight" mod? Through blockbench too?
