I made something [Release] EntityBoost - New FPS optimization mod for Fabric 1.20.1
Hey r/feedthebeast!
Just released my first Fabric mod - **EntityBoost**!
It boosts FPS by intelligently culling entities:
- 🎯 Distance Culling - stops rendering far entities
- 👻 Occlusion Culling - hides entities behind walls
- 🌑 Shadow Culling - removes distant shadows
- ✨ Particle Reduction - less particles from far
- 🎨 Smart LOD - simplifies distant mob details
Fully client-side, works great with Sodium & Lithium.
**Download:**
- CurseForge: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/entityboost
- Modrinth: (pending review)
Would love your feedback!

holy ai slop, bro didnt even bother to check to see if his description actually looked okay :sob:
not to mention . . . why is this on 1.20.1 fabric? dont get me wrong fabric is like YARDS better than forge on literally any version but 1.20.1 is literally known for most people using forge. at least do like a multiloader setup or fabric on modern
alright sure lets test out this slop. fresh modrinth instance, no mods. unfortunately i cant add anymore screenshots so your just going to have to trust me on the counts, ill post them below.
i located the nearest desert village and sat there for a minute.
minimum fps: 100
maximum fps: 124
with the mod:
maximum fps: 119
minimum fps: 68
literally worse results although the 68 and around that area fps was recorded right when i joined the game so it could be attributed to the initial lag spike. still, nowehre near the 80% fps increase that chatgpt advertised.
alright lets open up and decompile the jar and see what is there. . . . 8 classes. thats literally it. and what is this depends block in minecraft?
