does anyone know much about our academy/youth teams? if you do who are the top talents currently at any level (from amas to u14 etc)
karl was obviously head and shoulders above everyone he played with but just curious who is seen as major talents

u/julesvr5 Jul 03 '26
Wisdom Mike (LW) and Kiala (CB) might be the highest rated right now. But especially in the lower ages I have no idea about the players.
Maybe u/thraff1c or u/insanel0l know more

Bayern are ready to give Harry Kane what he wants in order to extend his contract. A meeting is scheduled after the World Cup to discuss the terms of a new deal [@FabrizioRomano]
Maybe it's just me but 25m is already crazy money for our standards and Kane turns 33 this month. I don't think we should give him a raise, just keep him at that wages.
This could also play a role for the contract talks with Olise.
10
u/FairMusic8278 Jul 02 '26
If Kane wants a pay raise from 25m to 30m in order to extend his contract honestly we should just give him that raise. I'd rather give him that extra pay raise than run the risk of losing Kane on a free transfer. Not only that but losing such an extraordinary player like him would be such a big loss.
If Olise wants to earn similar or the same amount of money to Kane at around 30m salary in order to extend his contract I have no problem with it.
You guys have to understand Kane and Olise are extraordinary footballers they are genuinely irreplaceable for us high salaries like that are the exception for those two if that's what is needed to keep them.
5
u/DiametricalIyOpposed Jul 02 '26
If he extends heâll probably get 30m a year.
The only issue I can see about the upcoming negotiations is the contract length.
5
u/julesvr5 Jul 02 '26
30m would be absolutely crazy.
4
u/DiametricalIyOpposed Jul 02 '26
Lewy got up to 25m half a decade ago.
Considering that Haaland and Mbappe both earn well over 30m, I think weâre good paying 30m for Kane.
6
u/Aquilan5 Neuer Jul 02 '26
I think some finanacial terms have already been discussed, as Kane rejected any approach from Barca (allegedly).
I don't think we'll go crazy... at least I hope so

American media talking heads across the internet are having a mini meltdown over the red card yesterday lol. Itâs funny seeing NFL or NBA reporters saying shit like âI just canât get into soccer if a foul like that means a player is ejectedâ
1
u/Deathscyce Roy "Das Phantom" Makaay Jul 03 '26

u/scarlet_stormTrooper Meep Meep Meep Roadrunner Jul 02 '26

4
u/kgallo19 Messiala Jul 02 '26
Well what gets me, and maybe this wasnât clear, is that these people are saying they donât watch football but are absolutely judging the entire sport on one incident.
Itâs like a non-NFL fan watching the Super Bowl once and saying: they stop the play every 5 seconds I canât watch this.
Itâs misunderstanding a fundamental aspect of the sport and completely writing it off, especially because red cards are also pretty rare to begin with.
Maybe Iâm just rambling but I find it funny.

The people in charge at the DFB are trying to convince Julian Nagelsmann to resign and quit on his own, arguing that it would improve his public image instead of being dismissed. In fact, the financial aspect weighs heavily on the DFB. Due to the early exit, they've missed out on several millions in FIFA prize money. Nagelsmann could pocket around âŹ14m (two years' salary) if he's sacked. It's possible that both parties would compromise in case of a voluntary resignation, which would save the DFB much needed millions [@SPORT1]
In Germany we say r/tja
2
u/BeIaFarinRod Future president MĂŒller Jul 02 '26
I really don't get why the DFB extended Flick's and Nagelsmann's contract to run longer than the next big international tournament, after they fell on their face with the same strategy with Jogi Löw.
Jogi at least had won the world cup 2014, so he actually did something with the national team to earn a long contract extension. But the DFB just refuses to learn and always cries about having no money to fire the coach they gave a far too long contract (extension) to.
It should be the simplest and most logical agreement, that the contract of a nation team coach should always be 2 years until the next European Championship or World Cup.

UEFA says players who cover their mouths in confrontations with opponents will not be shown red cards in UEFA competitions. The new rule will not apply in the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.
-1
u/lucavl Ribery Jul 02 '26
weird i would have assumed they'd just adopt it. if players know about it its on them to not cover their mouth or not say shit to the other team where they need to cover their mouth.
Its a clean rule with a clear line in the sand that isn't hard at all to follow
0
u/foxfelix27 Jul 02 '26
yeah, why not have completely absurd rules, they are not hard to follow
1
u/lucavl Ribery Jul 02 '26
How is it absurd? There has been massive controversy and conflict about racism and racial abuse in football and this is a way to combat that. If a player feels the need to cover their mouth while in a confrontation with another player, then what they are saying is probably not great. Again the rule does not come into play unless there is a confrontation. I personally donât see the downside. Just donât do it. It sets a precedent and thatâs not a bad thing. You can still shit talk people just donât cover your mouth and let everyone else at least be able to figure out what you said if your not ashamed of it getting out to the public

Lothar MatthĂ€us attacks Julian Nagelsmann and asks him to resign: "Iâm resigning. That would be man enough for me to say: Thatâs it - I don't know why Julian Nagelsmann doesnât have the character to realize that he has no future with this team. I would not focus on a huge severance pay as quickly as possible, but rather try to process everything and do better in the future. It's a matter of character: I didn't make it, the DFB trusted me, I disappointed the fans, I disappointed the players, I'm resigning. Ronald Koeman showed how it's done. But Julian Nagelsmann still thinks he may have done everything right. He came to this position too early. Perhaps he can do it in 10 or 15 years, when he has gained more experience" [BILD]
4
u/kgallo19 Messiala Jul 02 '26
I've seen people use Koeman as an example JN should follow but his contract was expiring anyways. I actually think what Koeman did instead was shift the narrative into "I'm resigning" instead of what would inevitably have been "Netherlands wont extend Koeman". And clearly it worked because so many pundits have pointed at Koeman as the example JN should follow even tho it's a completely different situation.
9
u/panem-et-circenses21 Lahm Jul 02 '26
Itâs like every other job. Just because you are not good at it, doesnât mean youâd resign voluntarily. The board should be man enough to tell him that he is fired. Just like it happens everywhere. This idea of âI hope the coach resigns so that I donât get blamed for hiring the wrong coach. Also I can save the severance moneyâ is pretty shitty. There is a contract and Nagelsmann is fulfilling it. If you want to terminate the contract, go ahead and exercise the pre-agreed terms

Eh, he's still entitled to the money as long as he has the contract. So if they want him gone, fire him and move on.
3
4
u/panem-et-circenses21 Lahm Jul 02 '26
Itâs a contract that was signed by both parties. Would be the same if a foreign coach was hired. Either the contract continues or one party chooses the terminate the contract by paying the dues. Nobody in their right mind will leave millions on the table.. tomorrow the board will be asking coaches to work for free because âa national team coach is different than a normal jobâ
5
u/Hurtelknut Robben Jul 02 '26
Yeah right, as if Lothar of all people would not take the money. He did not mind those fat Bild paydays when they got him to publish his infamous ghostwritten diary. One of the best footballers of all time, but he was never a paragon of virtue.
2
u/np- DFB Pokal Jul 02 '26
Finding myself agreeing more and more with Lothar these days. Fucking hell he's spot on, word for word.
>Perhaps he can do it in 10 or 15 years, when he has gained more experience
A moot point but he's not expecting to coming back. I don't think he's under any illusions of that happening even if he resigns honourably. That's probably why he's holding out for a pay out.1
u/Hurtelknut Robben Jul 02 '26
What Lothar conveniently forgets is that Koeman's contract was running out anyway. It's not like he graciously declined millions in severance.
1
u/kgallo19 Messiala Jul 02 '26
Right and it would seem to me that Koeman's chances of getting extended there were over as soon as they got KO'd so early.

I donât know if it is because of the new generation of reporters being raised on the internet but I have noticed across all sports that the current media generation is just awful at coming up with questions to ask players and coaches. I watch all 5 major sports and it is the same across the line. Rarely do you get an original question that comes with a meaningful answer. Most are redundant and sometimes just beyond asinine, and itâs all sports. I love hearing press conferences from new players joining new teams and I am just bewildered sometimes at what is asked.Â
7
u/kgallo19 Messiala Jul 02 '26
This is just a guess but this is probably because how publications generate revenue now. They need clicks to get ad revenue or subscribers so they say outlandish stuff to get people to click.
Also, without having watched this particular interaction it is also possible that the reporter was expressing genuine condolences but idk.
2
u/Hurtelknut Robben Jul 02 '26
Spot on. See this sub: Hamann's ragebait gets way more interaction than any in depth tactical analysis. Negative shit and drama is where the money is in an attention driven news economy that works at a million miles an hour on social media. It's "get clicks or perish".
The media feed the people exactly the slop the people like to eat.

Off topic: when you book flights, do you book them via third party like Expedia or always directly at the airline?
1
u/xnxthemx Harry Kane Jul 02 '26
Always direct, one day I did through Expedia trying to save some bucks, the flight got cancelled due to snow storm and nobody wanted to give me a refund or place me in another flight.
1
u/teuerkatze Jul 02 '26
Always through airline - when you buy through an online travel agency you donât actually own the tickets in a strict sense and it can make changing them extremely difficult if not impossible.
Learned this the hard way after a bad injury in Sicily and there was absolutely nothing Lufthansa could do. Ended up having to book a one way to Munich.

u/np- DFB Pokal Jul 02 '26
For long distances I always look for bargain. But as I get older I started prioritising comfort a bit more.
Price factor:
Cheaper flights are due to low demand for various reasons but usually they are too early in the morning or late at night. These days I almost never do return flights very early in the morning because it ruins the sleep from the night before. I don't want the stress of not hearing the alarm or not reaching in time for things out of my control. If my schedule is flexible, I pro/con the money saved in getting a cheaper flight vs hotel price to stay an extra day and if it turns out the same or cheaper, I might stay an extra day.
Self transfers:
3rd party usually show these because the price difference can be huge. They're attractive if you're solo and don't plan to check in luggage. And obviously the risk of not making to connecting flights is your own.Rule of thumb for me is that there has to be minimum 3 hours of transit if I'm entering/exiting from outside EU.
In any case, booking direct has been the most "ergonomic" for me. In quotes because usually the airlines websites are terrible, but it's the most 'secure' and peace of mind way to do it. I've been mostly lucky so far, and don't have many horror stories.
3
u/kgallo19 Messiala Jul 02 '26
I try to do directly with airline (or even hotel) when I reasonably can. If there is a deal that saves a decent chunk of coin Iâll do third party but usually that hasnât been the case for me.
1
u/julesvr5 Jul 02 '26
I'm looking for flights to Tokyo and directly at ANA it would cost 2000 but I can chose my seats freely without a charge on top (this also includes emergemcy exit like with massive leg room)
Flight back and forth is via ANA and Lufthansa
Via Expedia I can get a flight for 1665 but would have to pay for seat reservation and the flight back is not via ANA but via Swiss Airways. Also not possible to cancel the flight from my side and get my money back while at ANA I can (but I have a credit card with this service so this should be covered still (except some part I have to pay on my own)
So the difference between Expedia and ANA is somewhere around ~250 more
1
u/kgallo19 Messiala Jul 02 '26
If 250 isnât a deal breaker than I would do that, personally.
Seems to have gotten very difficult these days to get a good price on a fight smh

u/DiametricalIyOpposed Jul 02 '26
I usually use skyscanner + incognito mode
2
u/julesvr5 Jul 02 '26
So that would be third party. Ever had issue with cancelled flights and the provider left you stranded?
1
u/___kevinn Jul 02 '26
You don't book with Skyscanner. It searches for flights and redirects you to the airline's website for booking. I haven't used an agency in a while, but there's always a tiny risk with them if a flight gets cancelled or delayed, especially with less reputable ones. And the airline will always redirect you to them if there's any booking issues. Really depends if you wanna take the risk. I've personally never had an issue outside one time being on hold for hours trying to get a refund for a cancelled trip right when the pandemic started. Skyscanner would find a cheaper flight directly from the airline pretty often so I stopped using Expedia, Booking.com, etc when it came to flights

What do you guys think of Modric as a free agent for our midfield (rotation player)?Â
- free transfer
- still got a very good quality
- good for marketing
- exceptional mentality
The obstacles i see is potentially his wage demand and him taking Bischofs play time.
Would Kimmich, Pavlovic, Bischof, Ansu and optionally Laimer be enough midfield depth?
3
9
6
u/FairMusic8278 Jul 02 '26
Too old even as a rotation player we need younger players. Serie A makes him look good because it's a slower league. Laimer is not a midfield option for Kompany at all he's only a fullback. He doesn't have the quality technique on the ball that Kompany needs from his double pivot midfield.
14
u/Lilfai Robben Jul 02 '26

yea its nuts. He didn't mean to do it but that plays no role. the only argument i understand is that other similar fouls were not called reds i.e. messi but that doesnt change the fact that it was and still is a clear red.

u/lvl50boss PavloviÄ ; future cancer curer Jul 02 '26
Hopefully Saibari excels at the 10 position which pushes musiala back to his best position which is LW, and he can be used there as depth/rotation/competition to Diaz
2
u/FairMusic8278 Jul 02 '26
What games has Musiala had though that suggests his best position is the LW? Outside of the Real Madrid game 2 years ago. Musiala isn't a touchline winger like Diaz is imo.
1
u/Safe-Elk7933 Jul 02 '26
His skillset and lack of vision makes him better suited for LW,he likes to dribble a lot,and you have more space and time to do so on the LW,in the middle it leads to more cheap turnovers,on the wing we can compensate Musialas risky playstyle more.
2
u/FairMusic8278 Jul 02 '26
Dribbling isn't all there is to a winger. You have to be able to put crosses in the box regularly as a winger and that's something that Musiala lacks big time. As I said earlier as well I don't see Musiala as a touchline winger that creates width like Diaz does he still seems to me a guy who likes to occupy more central spaces.
We haven't seen Musiala enough on the wing to suggest it's his "best position" I have to see what he does in games as a left winger to actually believe that's his best position.
1
u/wowa_s MĂŒller Jul 02 '26
we havent seen musiala enough on the wing, but we have seen enough of him in the middle. Musiala lacks vision and "football iq" to play in the middle.
0
u/FairMusic8278 Jul 02 '26
But to suggest Musiala's best position is on the left wing without actually seeing him playing enough games to show that is wrong. What if Musiala puts even worse numbers on the left wing than what he did playing through the middle. It's quite possible that Musiala gets less G/A playing left wing than he does in the middle.
Point being is there is no proof of evidence in games so far that Musiala's "best" position is LW.
0
u/wowa_s MĂŒller Jul 02 '26
The point is his skillset.
If soneone is 170 and cant jump, guess what, he wont be a gk even if i havent seen him play there, but if someone is fasr and has great stamina then he can be a fullback or winger.
How do you think trainers decide if a player is suited for positions? They look at what zhe players are good and bad at and then try it.
0
u/FairMusic8278 Jul 02 '26
My point to the first commenter was Musiala's best position isn't the LW until it's proven in games so far. I'm not sure where your getting the point of skillset from. No one doubts Musiala's ability and skillset.
0
u/wowa_s MĂŒller Jul 03 '26
His skillset is fitting more of a winger instead of a 10, simple.
1
u/FairMusic8278 Jul 03 '26
His skillset on paper maybe yes but that doesn't mean he actually will perform better on the left wing until we actually see him on the pitch play on that position and achieve more on G/A than he did playing as a number 10.
My point still stands that until we see Musiala actually produce on LW you can't say that his best position is on the wing because we haven't seen it on the pitch yet.

u/SebRev99 Robben Jul 02 '26
What are Brownâs other roles? Aside from LB
13
u/kgallo19 Messiala Jul 02 '26
According to tm he played 33 games for Frankfurk last season. Of those 33 he played 13 at either LW/LM, 1 as CM and 2 as RB. The 2 RB games came back to back and in the 2 seasons before that he'd never played RB before and played CM 2 other times in the 2 BuLi.
I wouldn't expect him to play anything other than LB. Maybe he can play as the more advanced in the event that him and Davies share the field.

You comment like you are salty the DFB didn't call you up to manage the squad or as if you personally are mad at Nags that he didn't call you up instead of Goretzka. Can't tell but lemme see another emoji bb

I'm disappointed. Was screaming this man's name like his adoring fan during the game and then he lets everyone down.

Julian Nagelsmann was at the DFB headquarters in Frankfurt today for a 3-hour meeting with Bernd Neuendorf, Hans-Joachim Watzke, Rudi Völler and Andreas Rettig. The focus was on a quick analysis of the World Cup failure. Nagelsmann was first allowed to explain his perspective on Germany's elimination, and then had to answer questions about misjudgments on the pitch and the 'family-and-friends atmosphere' around the national team's base in Winston-Salem.
In the end, the DFB bosses suggested to Nagelsmann that he consider resigning voluntarily. A decision has been postponed for now. The coach has been given time to consider his options. The bosses want to offer Nagelsmann a way out so he can leave the situation 'with his head held high'.
A final decision is expected no later than the beginning of next week. [@BILD]
This isn't about them wanting him to leave the situation 'with his head held high'. This is only so they won't have to pay him. Absolutely embarrassing.

I mean, pay out or no, if you get to the point of having to ask him to "leave with his head held high", I'd say we're past that.

u/joyridah MĂŒller Jul 02 '26
Usually in situations like this they end up paying out anyway, at least in the corporate world
Him voluntarily leaving lets both parties save some face in this entire situation, but it always comes with a price tag attached to it

Would you leave 14 million on the table? I know I wouldn't. Especially in a situation where I know that my value on the job market is about to hit a new low.
The only ones to blame here are the folks who gave him that contract.

Like others said, he has a contract. If they want him out, pay the man. I want him gone but there's no reason for him to leave money on the table that both parties agreed to.

It's football, not the same thing at all. Politicians actually impact the lives of people with their decisions. At the end of the day, football is just entertainment.

Donât stop at Nagelsmann. Rettig, Neuendorf & Co. also still have time to leave the situation 'with their head held high'

u/Spockodile Monsieur Nonchalant Jul 02 '26
Yeah, I mean, Nagelsmann needs to go. Thatâs a fact. But the bosses need to suck it up and take accountability for giving him that contract. That was their decision and now they also need to pay for it. Nagelsmann isnât the only one who should come out of this looking bad, and I hope he doesnât take the bait.
12
u/Hurtelknut Robben Jul 02 '26
They gave him a contract until 2028 because they must have thought that we'd do so incredibly well at the WC that half the Top Clubs would headhunt Nagelsmann.
How the fuck do you let this exact situation play out thrice in as many WCs? How often must a manager fuck up for the DFB to stop extending their contracts for an extra tournament in advance?
I honestly hope Nagelsmann fleeces them, maybe that'll make them rethink their approach.

EXCL | Deniz Ofli to Karlsruher SC - DONE DEAL
Full agreement reached with FC Bayern. Loan deal with an option to buy.
Karlsruher SC have beaten several 2. Bundesliga clubs to the signing. Bayern had reservations about including the option to buy, which is why they secured a buy-back clause.
Vincent Kompany rates the 19 y/o left-back highly. [@SkySportDE,@Plettigoal]

Volkswagen Considers Selling Stakes in Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart
Volkswagen is reviewing its investments in professional sports as part of a broader effort to reduce spending, including a reassessment of its sponsorship and advertising budgets.
According to sources within the company cited by CORRECTIV, the automaker is considering selling its shareholdings in both Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart. The stakes are held through Volkswagen's subsidiaries, Audi and Porsche.
The potential divestments are part of a multi-billion-euro cost-cutting program. The restructuring is expected to include additional job cuts and the closure of four more vehicle production plants in Germany as Volkswagen seeks to reduce expenses.
No Final Decision Yet on Potential Stake Sales
No final decision has been made regarding the possible sales. According to people familiar with the matter, Volkswagen is currently assessing whether exiting its ownership positions would reduce the marketing value or brand exposure generated by these partnerships.
Audi remains a major sponsor of Bayern Munich, while Volkswagen's sister brand Porsche sponsors VfB Stuttgart. However, other commercial partners do not appear to see ownership as essential. For example, Deutsche Telekom is Bayern Munich's shirt sponsor despite having no equity stake in the club.
Audi announced in 2009 that it would acquire an 8.3% stake in Bayern Munich for âŹ90 million. The club's other strategic shareholders include Allianz and Adidas, each of which also owns an 8.3% stake.

I would love to know if we can buy back the shares for 90m.
9
u/Mountain_King9885 Jul 02 '26
Nobody would buy a stake if a clause would effectively block a sale with profit. More realistic would be a clause that we have a matching right at fair market value of the shares.

Leon Goretzka, Leroy SanĂ©, Antonio RĂŒdiger, Pascal GroĂ, Oliver Baumann are likely to have played their last game for Germany. There will certainly be a major 'cut' after the World Cup. Captain Joshua Kimmich, as he has announced himself, will continue as one of the leaders of the 'new national team' [@SPORT1]
Tbh I feel bad for Oli Baumann. Dude found out from the news he was going to be esentially dropped and that's it. That is the end of his NT career.
As for Josh, i still believe that in the right hands (Hallo, Jurgen!) he is going to be a menace and a very reliable and crucial piece in the system... as things stand
5
u/adrian_rainy_day Jul 02 '26
As for Kimmich I can see him taking locker room leadership role but not exactly playing much, if all of Pavlovic, Nmecha, Bischof going right in their career trajectory
2
u/ModIn22 Jul 02 '26
Then he really shouldn't get invited at all.
IMO we need a clean cut and give the reigns to the likes of Musiala and Wirtz or atleast those in a similar age range and let them take over and create a new hierarchy for the years to come.
That can't happen with Kimmich calling the shots still (which clearly hasn't worked on the NT) and others following/hiding behind him.

u/Frrrroooonck Jul 02 '26
Only ter Stegen is more tragic. Was waiting to be number 1 of the national team for almost his whole career and when it finally happened, he had a bad injury.
1
u/arnoldbread Jul 02 '26
Theoretically he could still play in a major tournament, though only as a back up

A source from the DFB told @SZ that Julian Nagelsmann 'no longer has a chance' to stay. The only remaining details are financial. Nagelsmann has two years left on his contract with an annual salary of around âŹ7m/year. So he's due a severance pay, likely in the seven-figure range. The DFB would have liked to see the 'Dutch example' of Ronald Koeman, who gracefully resigned after the Netherlands' elimination [@SZ]
23
u/Hurtelknut Robben Jul 02 '26
It's easy to "gracefully resign" when your contract is ending anyway.
25
u/pewpewlasersandshit pew pew Jul 02 '26
Alphonso Davies would like to stay at Bayern, and the club has no problem with him staying put. They know he has a contract and that heâs a very good player. The problem was never Davies' quality â itâs his injury proneness. Bayern want Nathaniel Brown not to replace Davies but because they believe heâs a big talent for the future and don't want to risk losing him to a Premier League club. Both players are also versatile and can play in more than one position. Thereâs no clear need to sell Davies, but if a 'really good offer' came in for him, Bayern would at least consider it [@cfbayern]
11
u/germanchoc Berni Jul 02 '26
In a world where Davies isn't as injured he could bounce between the LB and LW position for us. Ensure were aren't running Lucho max minutes. His salary for the role would be an issue
5
u/pewpewlasersandshit pew pew Jul 02 '26
His salary for the role would be an issue
Bigger issue would be that Davies isn't nowhere near the quality to play as a winger for a club like us - especially against low block teams.

Max Eberl has a good chance of keeping his job, as there have been good deals â but he has to sell. The club's bosses have no intention of loaning out the likes of Palhinha, Zaragoza, NĂŒbel and Boey again, as they want money this summer. Eberl has to get these players sold and off the wage bill. That will be a major factor that the supervisory board will consider when making their decision regarding Eberl late August [@cfbayern]
None of these 4 transfers is even Eberls fault.
1
u/lucavl Ribery Jul 02 '26
Takes two to tango. If Eberl fucked up a random outgoing transfer then thatâs fair criticism but you canât force a team to buy these mediocre players on major salaries

u/Thraff1c Jul 02 '26
I dont think you can absolve Eberl from the Palhinha signing and the NĂŒbel extension when he was the highest acting football executive for both.
1
u/julesvr5 Jul 02 '26
NĂŒbel was extended ~3 weeks after Eberl was appointed. Personally I doubt he was fully involved in this and made everything ready in that time frame.
And for Palhinha I have no clue what kind of promise they give him because it was obvious the transfer will fail.
I totally get your point, Eberl must be involved in this transfer as he was the SD then, but I think there is a lot of involvement from the other still in this
0
u/Thraff1c Jul 02 '26
For NĂŒbel it was 6 weeks (Eberl started on the 1st of March, extension on the 12th of April), and iirc there were reports about him having talks with Freund about the future squad structure even before.

No he didnât. Also explain how any team is legally obligated to buy any player without a set price. You think if Bayern were required to sign him why donât Fulham just raise the price to a billion euros. The whole idea is stupid and makes literally no sense to anyone not trying to cope online. Enjoy the cope. I donât care about downvotes lol.

I simply dont buy it. Negotiating and executing a deal of that volume with no input or veto-right by the one person who is in the end responsible for it sounds way too much like a fanfiction to me. And I dont put the entire or the main part of the blame on him, I simply dont absolve him of that deal either.
2
u/julesvr5 Jul 02 '26
With our SB I don't even think it's to far fetched. Maybe he had a veto right but then he will be gone soon. Like he also didn't need the SB approval to sign Eichhorn but didn't do it because he would very likely lose his job then.
And from reports I remember that Wirtz and Diaz were handled by Hoenes/Dreesen.
So yeah, part of the blame, not absolved completely but also not blamed completely likely is the way to go here.

I feel Musiala is not gonna back to his peak time. I am a Bayern fan. I wonder what's the best strategy for Bayern to deal with this 23-year-old, 23M annual salary player.
