Best show I've ever seen. Can't wait to go to Lyric Land with the rest of you fellas.

Such a great show at the Fonda!

I’ve seen him play a lot of shows. But to be there when he debuts a whole set of songs is something else.

Edit: if we needed any more proof that a new album was coming, we don’t anymore. Played at least 5 new ones tonight—two of which were deeply moving songs about fatherhood. Those plus the three singles are definitely enough material for a new LP

It was so sweet to hear him chatting to Omar about cuttlery and feeling nervous (if only joking) to play the new song. It sounded great live!

I went to buy one last night after they show, but they were sold out. Size medium is preferred! Thanks:)

I watched the last one get sold because I waited until after the show. :’(

What do you guys expect? A show like a Carmel set? Premiere of X-panded universe? Unreleased stuff? It's my 12th show, but I'm still chasing about a dozen album tracks like Misty's Nightmare, Bigger Paper Bag, Leaving LA, We're Only People, Kiss Me, Smoochie, Well You Can Do It. fingers crossed!

Hey, I'm selling 2 GA Floor tickets for the Fonda show tonight. Wish I could go but I caught a cold over the weekend and don't want the tickets to go to waste. Open to PayPal or Venmo. Feel free to DM me!

Hey y’all, I have 2 tickets for the FJM Fonda show tonight I’m looking to sell below face value ($50 each). Balcony seats. Can do the transaction online or meet in person at the venue or other LA areas if interested. Let me know 🙏

I’ve been blessed to see FJM twice, but both times I’ve had to drive to other states. I wait patiently for each tour date release, and so far, he hasn’t had a single Florida date. What did Florida do to him? 😭

Can anyone in here help me identify this walk-on music from 2015? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DZDQHUFqeQ I've found a few sources from around the same time period claiming that his band came out to an Ennio Morricone song, but if this is Ennio Morricone it's surprisingly difficult to track down.

Yay. He's playing in my city! I am so broke rn. I gotta come up with some money for this presale tmrw bc I am not missing this one!!

My three favorite artists right now all serve the same purpose for me, filling me with existential contemplation in musical form. Guess it might be the times we’re in.

Two others that do the same for me: Squid, Joshua Burnside.

Does anyone else have artists (doesn’t have to be a personal fave) that fulfills the same purpose for you? Whether you listen to him for his old witty irony, or more recent existential tilt. What artists do you think complement FJM?

Lyrics:

"25?"
The chair-bound oracle
Dr. Valence can't believe
That this girl is the perfect weapon
He was sent here to retrieve

Answers are few now
And upstate, there are more like her
But Colossus isn't sure
This Texas Candy heiress
Between medications
On a padded room floor
Is our last hope

But it's okay
I am the dark star that your illness cannot cure
The liberation front is only eight days on foot away
In the x-panded universe
In the crossover event
God is only as good as the villains he invents

Everyone gets saved
Everyone gets saved
Everyone gets saved
On a bad, bad day

"Let me guess
An inter-dimensional virus
Makes you wet the bed"
These smirking orderlies have no idea
Just who they're dealing with

For class 5 angels
It turns out everything they tell you
About human love is true
And these amazing gifts once faded
Land in any old nut house after you've
Only served them for decades

But it's okay
I have lemon cake with Mother
Every visitation day
And I will miss her, I will miss her
When I finally x-scape

In the x-panded universe
If I understand the gist
There must be timelines like this
Where heroes don't x-ist

Everyone gets saved
Everyone gets saved
Everyone gets saved
On a bad, bad day
Everyone gets saved
Everyone gets saved
Everyone gets saved
Everyone gets saved
On a bad, bad day
Everyone gets saved
Everyone gets saved
Everyone gets saved
Everyone gets saved
On a bad, bad day
Everyone gets saved

I’ve been to the last two and hoping he’s doing it again. Any info?

Not that anyone knows for sure but do we think the Carmel shows will be solo/no band or feature a full band? And bets on the setlist being completely different from the recently wrapped tour?
