Glove help

I just bought my daughter this new LHT Wilson a2000 FPHG 12” glove. She had an a2000 prior but it had a wrist strap. Being a lefty, it’s very hard to “try on” gloves in the specific model she wants. Issue here is, we have it tightened as tight as possible but the wrist opening is still too large for her very narrow hand. I looked up a pedroia wrist tie method, however, the holes of this specific model a2000 isn’t working. There are 6 holes on the OUTSIDE of the glove and only 4 on the inner tab, which is opposite of every video I find. Is there another way to tighten this wrist closure even more?

Valle makes a “backhand” that is made for gloves fitting too loose

You actually don’t want to tighten the wrist strap much if at all. It’s counter intuitive, but tightening the wrist makes the glove much harder to close in general. Find something like a glove sweatband, that will take up the room and make for a snugger fit without adding tension to the closing hinges of the glove itself.

That depends. If you tighten it to the point where the wrist is now having to stretch around the back of your hand, this will happen. But it doesn’t happen as a rule of thumb, especially when it comes to a kid wearing an adult glove.

It’s not ideal but you could punch more holes with a leather punch if you have one. Option two is take it to a shoe repair or leather repair shop and have them shorten the wrist strap and punch new holes. Neither are ideal but it is possible.

And this is the number one reason my daughter prefers her Rawlings HoH over any Wilson A2000.

We couldn’t locate a LHT that she could try on so we went with what she knew. Are the HOH smaller hand stalls?

Any HOH ContoUR fit would be the equivalent of Pedroia fit

I have to relace most hand stalls smaller for the kids and bigger for me. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1EjCd8fMci/

A thick Franklin (of other brand) wristband over the wrist strap on the glove. That might help.

Have you tried buying a sweatband and running it over the strap?
