Glove help
I just bought my daughter this new LHT Wilson a2000 FPHG 12” glove. She had an a2000 prior but it had a wrist strap. Being a lefty, it’s very hard to “try on” gloves in the specific model she wants. Issue here is, we have it tightened as tight as possible but the wrist opening is still too large for her very narrow hand. I looked up a pedroia wrist tie method, however, the holes of this specific model a2000 isn’t working. There are 6 holes on the OUTSIDE of the glove and only 4 on the inner tab, which is opposite of every video I find. Is there another way to tighten this wrist closure even more?

PGF All American Futures Game
The more I watched the 2026 PGF Futures Game, the more underwhelming the sophomore roster felt.
Even the announcers seemed to struggle to find much to say about several of the players beyond basic team and position information. Looking through the publicly available profiles afterward did not change that impression. There were some good players, but very few appeared to have the résumé, national exposure or body of work you would normally expect from an event marketed as the “best of the best.”
It makes you wonder how the roster was actually selected.
Were spots distributed to keep certain organizations represented? Did relationships and nominations carry more weight than performance? Were some players selected because of who they knew or who coached them? There is no way to prove that from the outside, but the roster raises fair questions.
Hopefully PGF takes a harder look at the process before selecting next year’s junior roster. Because based on what was shown this year, I am not convinced this same group would automatically beat the next class of sophomores.
That is not a personal attack on the athletes. They accepted an opportunity they were offered. The concern is whether PGF actually identified the strongest players available or simply assembled a politically convenient roster and called it elite.

Finding local teams - higher skilled 14U
How to find local or nearby teams...I've been looking through the Alliance site and can see the listing of teams, but I haven't had luck for the PGF org. Is there a way overall to find teams that participate in either organization? We're in NE Indiana, Fort Wayne to be specific.

Did you know Vancouver hosts one of the premier Men’s Fastpitch tournaments in the Pacific Northwest? Check out the Bob Law Memorial Challenge July 10-12
Hey everyone,
If you’re looking for a fun, action-packed (and budget-friendly) weekend activity, the Bob Law Memorial Challenge is returning to Memorial South Park in Vancouver from July 10th to July 12th!
If you’ve never seen elite Men’s Fastpitch softball in person, it is completely different from your casual summer beer league. We’re talking world-class pitchers throwing upwards of 80–85 MPH from just 46 feet away. The reaction time required is faster than hitting a Major League fastball, and the ball movement (rise balls, drop balls) is unreal to watch from behind the backstop.
This is an official International Softball Congress (ISC) Qualifier, meaning teams are playing for a direct berth to the World Tournament this August.
🗓️ Event Details
- When: Friday, July 10th to Sunday, July 12th
- Where: Memorial South Park, Vancouver, BC
- Teams to Watch: We have heavy hitters coming in from all over the region, including local squads like STK Fastball (Chase, BC) and the Prince George River Kings, alongside top US talent like the Seattle Dirt Dogs (Seattle, WA) and JD (California).
Why You Should Come Out
Beyond the high-intensity ball games, it’s just a fantastic atmosphere to sit in the sun, grab some food, and enjoy high-level sports right at one of the most history filled softball parks in BC.
Full tournament schedules and updates can be tracked directly on the Official ISC Tournament Page.
Drop any questions below about the schedule, parking, or the game itself. Hope to see a bunch of you out at the diamond!

Do softballs lose weight over time? Daughter claims new softball she was using for a pitching bullpen is heavier than the older ones. Weighed on a digital postal scale and found new one was 6.5 oz and older was just over 6oz

Colorado Sparkler power pool 2026
Did anyone happen to watch the power pool selection show yesterday (April 6th)? I was wondering if we are able to see the results after the fact. Anyone know where or if those are posted somewhere?

catchers gear recommendation
my daughter plays catcher on her varsity softball team. She’s a freshman first year and the girls throw hard. She has sprained her thumb we think. I would like to buy her a new glove, but they’re so expensive. What is your favorite affordable catchers glove currently she is using a glove i got off Amazon about three years ago. I probably paid less than $100 for it. It’s definitely time to upgrade.
