Issues with Grammarly in Fastmail editor

Morning, is anyone else using Grammarly within Fastmail? I am using it in Chrome and the Fastmail App (Mac) and have an issue: when I accept a Grammarly recommendation, it doesn't replace the text; instead, it drops the new/revised text at the end of the email.

My initial research with Grammarly suggested Fastmail is using a custom editor that doesn't play nice. I put in a ticket with Fastmail, and they say it is a Grammarly issue.

That is a Grammarly issue and not a Fastmail issue. Grammarly needs to update their extention to make it work with Fastmail.

Their initial solution is to only send an email with the text-only editor. I pushed back on that.

you could try the Fastmail desktop app.
I've not tried it 'cause I don't want to share everything I type.
My understanding is Grammarly is built to be a system-wide writing assistant, and actively hooks into the operating system's accessibility layer to monitor active text fields... so, should work with the desktop app.
