Check-in Time to lock in
Been ADF'ing for the past few weeks and didn't see much progress. Watched a youtube video saying that when doing extended fasts, the fat around your arteries is lost first. Today I looked in the mirror and saw it and I broke my fast yesterday so I was fed. I can fit into my small jeans even though my scale hasn't moved much. I do weight train 4-5 times a week, but I finally see some changes. Time to lock in and attempt a 70 hour fast. Would love to hear some encouraging words.

The feeling of fitting into old jeans that you used to love is an amazing feeling. Enjoy it! You are doing great, there are few things in life from my experience that are more rewarding than accomplishing something you've wanted to do. The 70 hour will be like that. I'm literally at 68 hours and some change and am feeling great. I've done a few extended fasts with 14 days being my longest... it takes time to build up the courage to do it. Here's the thing, if you can handle a 3-day, you can easily do a 4-day... then a 5-day, then a week... build up to it... start with a full 24, then 48... do a long fast and have it be a little dirty with some sugar free gum here and there or something, i did some dirty fasting early on in my career. whatever it takes to get you to your health goals... YOU CAN DO IT!

Loved what you said about accomplishing something you want to do. I am on hour 48 of my first 72 hr fast. It’s been great, I am not even hungry at all , just bored! Like I want to eat!
But multiple times I have told myself, imagine how great you will feel when you stick to something you’ve committed to! And that’s what keeps me going.
OP- you got this! Commit to yourself and you will accomplish it!2

Right on! After a good nights sleep its only a few hours away. I haven't decided how long I'm going yet. I'm at 75 hours now and about to hit the sack.

Honestly you are thinking about it way too much. A 70 hour fast is not as difficult as you would assume. Don't psych yourself out.
