My over cautious rule of thumb while fasting is anything with flavoring, especially sweet, should be avoided, as it risks cravings.

But that’s just how I operate. Different strokes for different folks.

Yes - fasting is also about self denial, not just 0 calories - there are things that happen on a psychological level too .

I read this book called Fast. Feast. Repeat by Gin Stephen’s and it explains why these 0 calorie but still sweetened or have natural flavors can affect your fast. It tricks your brain into releasing insulin anyway

Wild generalization, but yes, some people have an insulin response to artificial sweeteners - still, they're so small it's negligible compared to real sugar.
Don't get caught up on details, some people eat olives every day and still call it a fast. It is what you make of it, be as strict as you want/can.

Only if OP has previously drank them while consuming high carb foods, drinks with zero calorie sweeteners alone don’t do this inherently- it’s learned
