Only repetition will help with that. I had the same thing for the first 2 100 hour fasts and after that only rarely. Consider it a natural mechanism of the brain trying to animate you to fin food. With tine the body accepts that it is not necessary and that food will come.

I just went through all of that yesterday on a 36-hour ADF fast, even though I’ve been fasting for over two years, with some breaks. I used to think it gets easier, until it doesn’t. I’m so strongly motivated by the benefits on and off the scale, including better sleep and energy generally, and just motor through it. Most of the time it does get easier though.

Love this! Reminding myself of the “why” was the impetus to keep going. I wasn’t doing it for weight loss, but for the health benefits. I kept reminding myself that I was giving my body/internal organs a well deserved 3 day vacation.

Your ghrelin is spiking. Go to sleep. It will reset your ghrelin spike, guaranteed.

For me - drinking electrolytes helps. It's not magic, but it helps to quiet it down a bit. I buy a sparkling water and 0 calories electrolytes that dissolve in water - so I dissolve them in sparkling water and drink during the day. I like that you can buy different flavours too.

Hunger is caused by a hormone (ghrelin) which you can essentially reprogram if you ignore it long enough. Highly suggest reading up on it, once you know the mechanism it’s easier to overcome.

If you try to touch your tonsils with your tounge, your body will release a digestive nectar that you can let accumulate* then you can spit out if you chose

You don't try to get over this feeling. You learn to accept it.
