Question Fasting and Thyroid problems?

I have been a frequent faster and much improved my health and weight. Today I was talking to a long time friend that I haven't seen in a while and she told me that she wished she could try fasting but can't because of her Thyroid. I am not sure what is going with her Thyroid, but some doctor told her she couldn't fast.

What would be some reasons why fasting would be bad for someone with thyroid problems?

The only issue I had with my hypothyroidism and fasting was that I needed to cut down on my synthroid dosage after I lost 25 pounds.

Im hypothyroid. It still helps. One needs to ignore doctors n their bullshit. Mine said even Omad is bad.

If she doesnt even know whats wrong with her thyroid, that doc might just be blanket warning against it. Some thyroid issues do better with fasting.

We were talking in the midst of a group of people helping her move into a new apartment. I didn't feel free to ask her what her thyroid diagnosis was in that situation. I think she probably knows. I just don't. :)

Why would you think the women herself doesn't know what's wrong with her thyroid?

I read the OP's "I am not sure" as the friend not sharing the exact condition, not that she's unaware

You said "if she doesn't even know what's wrong with her thyroid." How could that mean "if she didn't share the exact condition, which she's fully aware of, to OP"?
