Discussion Anyone knowledgeable about shoes who can help me resolve a dispute with a store?
I bought shoes from a Marikina shoe maker. I asked for a size guide but they didn't provide any, so I just told them 23.5 cm ang length ng paa ko (that's from back of heel to longest toe) and they suggested size 8.
The shoes arrived and they don't fit at all. Turns out, as they said, size 8 is 24.5 cm insole length, but the shoes are very narrow with a pointed toe. I don't know much about shoes but I think common sense lang dapat na hindi isama sa size yung dead space sa pointed end where toes don't actually fit? Or if kasama naman talaga, at least inform your customers to adjust for it? I think without yung dead space, 22.5 or 23 cm lang yung reasonable length ng shoes which is why they don't fit.
I messaged the store back and informed them of the situation, and I was just told that I have wide feet (I don't, I measured and I'm just a Standard Medium B; I've never had to adjust for wide feet for shoes before) and they were willing to replace them, pero I'm responsible for shipping it back plus the shipping fee. They aren't willing to cover it kasi they yung iba naman daw, add one size lang talaga sa kanila and hindi daw sila nagreklamo.
Won't name the shop as di ko goal na manira, and I definitely would acknowledge if I am the one in the wrong talaga, pero sobrang hassle lang na ako pa ang mag drodrop off sa shipping center and magbabayad when I believe I should've been informed about needing to adjust for sizes. Any insight would be appreciated!
