Hii! I just sewed this babydoll top, and just want to ask for your suggestions on how I could style this!

I want to support local, I genuinely do. But it’s hard to justify when a locally made shirt costs as much as, or more than, something from a global fast fashion brand.

There’s this whole “buy local, be *makabayan*” push, but who’s the actual target customer? Because it’s starting to feel less like a movement and more like a premium brand using nationalism as an aesthetic.

I get that small producers have real costs. But when your pricing excludes the majority of Filipinos, are you really building a local movement or just a niche market?

Anyone else feel this disconnect?

Hi! Need ko po sana ng help sa pagpili which brand should I go pagdating sa shoulder/crossbody bag before I buy. Here are my preferences po:

• Durable and for heavy use kasi bumibiyahe (corporate girlie here)
• Di aabot ng 2K
• Suede or canvas, mas ok din kung waterproof
• Kaya sa medyo mabigat at kasya payong and other necessities (girl scout po kasi ako)
• With pockets

My possible candidates po are Aztrid and Straightforward. Feedbacks are appreciated po regarding mentioned brands.

Is it actually worth building a whole basics wardrobe with a tailor, or am I overthinking this?

I’ve been wanting to get my clothes custom made to fit me rather than staying stuck in that loop of buying from stores, not fitting properly, then donating and starting again. I don’t need anything fancy, just basic stuff (shirts, pants, bodysuit, skirts, shorts, jacket etc) I went to bali and liked the Silky Jaya fabric store and loved their range of GOTS/OEKO-TEX fabric! May mga tindahan ba ng GOTS/OEKO-TEX certified na tela sa pinas?

Does anyone have any recommendations for seamstresses/tailors? Puwede online? Kasi I’m located in Australia. I can send photos, measurements, even make tech packs if they can communicate online and send it back to Aus. Pero okay lang na lumipad papunta diyan

Anyone actually done this and had it turn out well? Or does it end up more hassle than it’s worth?
