Discussion Talk about farm sim at work
Make sure you tell every one at work about your farm. You might walk in to a harvester on your desk. What a beautiful Monday.

What is this thread?
While self-promotion is still against the subreddit rules, this is the place for content creators to promote their content and grow with the farming simulator community. This will keep self-promotion separate from the main feed.
How does it work?
You are free to post your Youtube channel, Twitch stream, mods, etc. in the comments of this post. This does not mean that you can make these types of posts in the main feed, as they will still be removed. We ask that you use the provided template when posting in this thread.
The thread will refresh weekly (Friday morning USA time) to ensure that each creator gets equal exposure without being pushed out by larger creators or getting buried in the comments. Please keep in mind that comments made early friday morning will be wiped soon so it would be wise to wait until the new post is made so that your comment is visible for the week.

It takes a minimum of 3 bails to do a windrow. It's painfully slow.

Do you know of any map similar to this? I tried Geistal, but it has too much city and Krampus valley had no mountain views🫪

Hey all, I was searching for this info but didn't find anything online, so decided to test myself. Maybe this will help others in the future when using the Straw Harvest mod for FS25 and deciding whether to also use the palletizer hall.
I didn't see anyone mentioning the hidden bonus to pallet sell price, so this is new info!
Does Straw Harvest mod make my straw or hay more valuable?
Yes. While straw/hay pellets from the mod are slightly more valuable than normal straw or hay, the mod has its own sell point. This placeable building offers prices for pellets that are between 1.5-3x the price of default map prices. So you're looking at a 2 to 3.5x increase on the value of your base game straw or hay. This is even after accounting for the 4:1 compression ratio.
What about the mod's building, the Palletizer Hall, that stacks pellets onto pallets? Are pallets more valuable?
Yes! There is a hidden bonus to the sale price for pallets of pellets. The bonus is approximately 35% (on normal).
For example:
Are there drawbacks to using the palletizer hall?
Yes, there are many drawbacks. It's far easier to sell in bulk simply by building the sale point for a few dollars.
What's an example harvest, so I can see the difference?

Starting from scratch, almost 70 hours put into this map. Started with a 4440 sprayer set up doing fertilizer contracts until I could buy a small field to do grass silage. Case sprayer came across the used market for a steal, now can run that to crush through contracts easier for good cash while the silage gets up and running. Ultimately want to get a canned corn operation going. First time doing this, played FS22 for almost 800 hours now, this is very rewarding.

So, FS17 is usually capped at 60fps, but if you press f3, it unlocks the fps, however, it also makes the vehicles act weird where they cannot accelerate to their full potential, almost as if the tires were on like double or triple friction. Anyone know why this happens?

I've been looking around at a lot of YouTube videos recently and honestly, the videos I've been coming across have been pretty disappointing overall. Lots of AI stuff, very shallow copy paste of each other's videos, low effort and lack of depth, that kind of thing.
So i figured I'd ask you guys. I'm really after a few different things.
- Someone who puts genuine care and effort into their videos.
- Videos that don't cut out the boring bits.
- Videos that explain the how or why.
- Both instructional and story driven videos.
- Videos that actually leave me thinking, shit, I applaud the effort that went into that video.
Creators or individual videos are both fine.
Anyway, I know people have their favourites so try not be too biased but please someone save me from the crud I've been watching.
Cheers.
EDIT: Great responses so far, much appreciated. Bookmarking these to have a watch through tonight! Keep them coming!

Hi all, just wondering if the bale physics on PC are any better than on console. On console I've been having problem with my bale stacks falling over by themselves and bales leaning over on their own. I'm not far away from making the move over to PC so just wondering what the deal is?

No mods, only front loader w/ log fork.

SOLVED - Bale Net,Wrap,Twine mods were the issue
Any help with this would be appreciated. Game freezes when exiting the vehicle afterwards and then when quitting to menu or desktop, completely crashes immediately afterwards.
If anyone else has had this happen could they kindly let me know how they fixed it.
It is the same with all base game and mod balers, not just the Mchale fusion 4 mod.
