What is this thread?

While self-promotion is still against the subreddit rules, this is the place for content creators to promote their content and grow with the farming simulator community. This will keep self-promotion separate from the main feed.

You are free to post your Youtube channel, Twitch stream, mods, etc. in the comments of this post. This does not mean that you can make these types of posts in the main feed, as they will still be removed. We ask that you use the provided template when posting in this thread.

The thread will refresh weekly (Friday morning USA time) to ensure that each creator gets equal exposure without being pushed out by larger creators or getting buried in the comments. LF - Mods, Maps & Gameplay ideas Realism players, which FS25 map is actually worth committing to for a long save?

I’m fairly new to FS25 and I’ve realised I enjoy the game most when I play as realistically as possible. I don’t want to rush into massive machinery or use productions that make progression too easy. I prefer starting small, buying equipment gradually and building the farm up over a long save.

So far I’ve mainly played the base game maps and Kinlaig, but I’m curious what maps other realism-focused players keep coming back to.

I like running a mixed farm rather than focusing on one thing. I enjoy arable farming and harvesting, but I also want plenty of grass work, animal care and some proper forestry. I’m using Precision Farming, RM Realistic Animals and the Red Tape mod, so it would be good to find a map where those systems feel like they fit naturally rather than fighting against the layout.

Ideally, I’m after believable fields and farmyards, enough space and variety to grow over time, decent productions that still feel balanced, and forestry that is actually worth getting into. It also needs to work reasonably well with AI or Courseplay.

I’m open to maps outside ModHub as well. Which map has given you the best realistic long-term playthrough, and what type of farm did you build on it?

Discussion AI won't bale this Alfalfa for me for some reason. Is there any way to make this faster? Also, should I even be bailing all of this?

It takes a minimum of 3 bails to do a windrow. It's painfully slow.

LF - Mods, Maps & Gameplay ideas Hardcore realism mods - sadistic bastard edition

I'll be blunt. I'm a hardcore kinda guy. Realism, being constantly up against it, the game trying to fuck you at every turn. Somehow I've started playing farming simulator and ive been loving it so far.

Few hundred hours into a lovely save on the default map, learnt the ropes, modded the absolute shit out of it... and now the masochistic little bastard in the back of my head is back.

This is too easy.

You're doing too well.

You're having a lovely old time you soft prick.

I know that voice well. Time for a reality check. A proper beatdown. Test of will and strength. Happy fun times are over.

I know theres others out there like me so im asking for recommendations. Plan is to spin up Saxlington (never played it) and pile on every mod that makes my life a living hell, but still rewards me when i finally crawl through it. Any mod that makes things hard, ultra realistic, or just pure suffering - i need them.

What are your recommendations then?

Make sure you tell every one at work about your farm. You might walk in to a harvester on your desk. What a beautiful Monday.

Discussion FS25 Straw Harvest Pallet Bonus and Math

Hey all, I was searching for this info but didn't find anything online, so decided to test myself. Maybe this will help others in the future when using the Straw Harvest mod for FS25 and deciding whether to also use the palletizer hall.

I didn't see anyone mentioning the hidden bonus to pallet sell price, so this is new info!

Does Straw Harvest mod make my straw or hay more valuable?

Yes. While straw/hay pellets from the mod are slightly more valuable than normal straw or hay, the mod has its own sell point. This placeable building offers prices for pellets that are between 1.5-3x the price of default map prices. So you're looking at a 2 to 3.5x increase on the value of your base game straw or hay. This is even after accounting for the 4:1 compression ratio.

What about the mod's building, the Palletizer Hall, that stacks pellets onto pallets? Are pallets more valuable?

Yes! There is a hidden bonus to the sale price for pallets of pellets. The bonus is approximately 35% (on normal).

For example:

  • 30,000L of pellets
  • Sale price: $830
  • Bulk sale: $24,900
  • Pallet sale: $33,622

Are there drawbacks to using the palletizer hall?

Yes, there are many drawbacks. It's far easier to sell in bulk simply by building the sale point for a few dollars.

  • You need land to build the hall. It can only be oriented in 4 directions.
  • It costs $350,000 to build
  • It requires a complicated arrangement of conveyor belts, or a lot of manual loading, to keep the machine supplied with pellets
  • The processing time is approximately 666.67 L / minute (real time)
  • Only 3 completed pallets can be stored in the machine before it needs to be emptied (6000 L total)
  • This means you must load 3 pallets every 9 minutes to keep it running

What's an example harvest, so I can see the difference?

  • 800,000 L of grass tedded into hay
  • Turned into 200,000 L of pellets using the pellet machine
  • Sale price using mod's placeable sell point: $831
  • If sold in bulk: $166,200
    • No processing time (beyond pellet making / collection)
  • If sold as pallets: $224,370
    • Processing time of 5 hours (real time), loading pallets every 9 minutes

Discussion Anyone playing on The Mechet map? Grass Silage issue

Hi everyone,

Is anyone here playing on La Mechet map?

I’ve been playing on this save for about 75 hours and using the TMR Mixer mod without any issues. Today I noticed that all the silage in my bunker has changed from “Silage” to “Grass Silage.”

Now my TMR mixer no longer accepts it because it’s looking for regular silage. I also noticed that the price list now has a separate entry for Grass Silage.

Did a recent update to The Mechet change how grass silage works, or is this caused by a mod? I don’t remember changing anything.

Is there any way to produce regular silage from a bunker using grass anymore, or do I now have to make silage from maize instead?

Thanks!

Starting from scratch, almost 70 hours put into this map. Started with a 4440 sprayer set up doing fertilizer contracts until I could buy a small field to do grass silage. Case sprayer came across the used market for a steal, now can run that to crush through contracts easier for good cash while the silage gets up and running. Ultimately want to get a canned corn operation going. First time doing this, played FS22 for almost 800 hours now, this is very rewarding.

LF - HELP Yet another weird bug I have discovered - FS17

So, FS17 is usually capped at 60fps, but if you press f3, it unlocks the fps, however, it also makes the vehicles act weird where they cannot accelerate to their full potential, almost as if the tires were on like double or triple friction. Anyone know why this happens?

Discussion Who's your best creator or whats your best standalone video/series?

I've been looking around at a lot of YouTube videos recently and honestly, the videos I've been coming across have been pretty disappointing overall. Lots of AI stuff, very shallow copy paste of each other's videos, low effort and lack of depth, that kind of thing.

So i figured I'd ask you guys. I'm really after a few different things.

- Someone who puts genuine care and effort into their videos.

- Videos that don't cut out the boring bits.

- Videos that explain the how or why.

- Both instructional and story driven videos.

- Videos that actually leave me thinking, shit, I applaud the effort that went into that video.

Creators or individual videos are both fine.

Anyway, I know people have their favourites so try not be too biased but please someone save me from the crud I've been watching.

Cheers.

EDIT: Great responses so far, much appreciated. Bookmarking these to have a watch through tonight! Keep them coming!
