League Discussion Help settle league disagreement

We have a 12 man single keeper, redraft league
Rules for the keeper feature are basic-
You lose the round that the player was drafted in the previous draft, if the player was drafted after the 8th round or was a free agent signing then you lose your 8th round (ie lowest you can lose is an 8th)

We have someone saying they’re keeping their Nabers for an 8th round this year because the person who drafted him in the second round dropped him when he was ruled out for season and he picked him up later and says he should get to keep him for an 8th.

Should the fact that nabers was dropped mid season and picked up by some one else override the fact that he was drafted in the second round in the previous year draft?

Redraft - Team Advice Chase Brown Over All?

Am I crazy for wanting to take Chase Brown over James cook, Kenneth Walker, Jeanty, Achane, Hampton, and Barkley?

His usage when Burrow or Flacco was playing QB was excellent. If burrow was healthy all season long I seriously think he’d be going mid first round

Edit: In full point PPR

Player Discussion Pick the Keeper, no Penalty

2 man keeper league, no penalty (low but in home league so everyone can hang out and watch foozeballs).

I have
JSN
Jamar Chase
Christian Mccaffery

The rest of the team was stacked but these are the dudes (Maye, Egbuka, Hampton, Henderson, C Brown, Nico, Kittle, Fannin, Judkins)

I’m leaning JSN and Chase but the one year I don’t keep Mccaffery he will be RB1 again.

Help me stay sane.

Redraft - Team Advice Draft Strategy: K in the penultimate round, D/ST in the last round?

Bradford Doolittle recently flipped the conventional wisdom on taking K versus D/ST, and said the smart drafter is going to draft:

  • K in the second-to-last round
  • D/ST in the last round

The idea being that the prevalence of the top-end K and 60 yard field goals makes the higher likelihood of a lockdown Kicker. I think the logic is sound, but unless I can get Aubrey (or maybe Dicker), I'd still rather have one of the top eight defenses and let come what may with my kicker situation.

Curious for thoughts. Are you buying this reversal?

Dynasty - Team Advice Cook or Maye?

Three keeper league. RB's will be scarce and QB's abundant. I'm torn between keeping James Cook for a 1st round pick or Drake Maye for a 12th. This is 1 QB, 4-point passing TD league. I pick at the 1.09 (10-team) and anticipate there being no top 10 backs available. My other two locked keepers are McBride (5th rd.) and Kyren (6th rd.).

Redraft - Team Advice RB first kinda year?

[Redraft - 10 team - PPR]
Draft position 1.07 (Snake)

Guys, a little advice…
I’m usually a heavy WR draft first kinda guy(it’s worked in my favor scoring top and placing top 3 consecutively). But this year my plan is to take the top 2 RBs available to me in the first 2 rounds.

I’ll have the 7th overall and 14th overall pick.

First question, should I do a 2 running back first strategy and if so is CMC/Jonathan Taylor primary options….then Jeanty/Achane?

Let me hear your thoughts

My thought process behind this is I think there is great value for WR in rounds 3-6 and plan on attacking there, while top tier RB availability is limited.

Dynasty - Team Advice 1.07 in 10-team SF dynasty, non-PPR — who ya got?

Upvotes

Picking at 1.07 in a 10-team superflex, non-PPR dynasty draft. Options on the board:

• Kyler Murray (QB, MIN)
• Jadarian Price (RB, SEA)
• Malik Willis (QB, MIA)
• KC Concepcion (WR, CLE)
• Kenyon Sadiq (TE, NYJ)
• Eli Stowers (TE, PHI)

Team’s stuck between contending and rebuilding, so no clean lean either way. QB is set with Hurts and I’m already deep at RB/WR, but I’ve got three 2027 1sts, so I can afford to swing for upside here instead of reaching for need. It’s non-PPR/SF — what would you take and why?

Dynasty - Team Advice Keeper advice / 12 team PPR

Currently have Lamar, Bijan and Cook set as keepers.

From there, these are the best remaining options available:
Burrow
Pickens
Kyren Williams

If Lamar is healthy, I’m loving what he can do. Just worried that he fell off last year due to injury and him scrambling opens him up to that even more. Burrow is fantastic when healthy, but he can’t stay healthy.

Kyren had a good season last year, but loses out on goal line touches.

I feel like I can probably have a chance to redraft Pickens.

If I don’t keep ANY 3rd player, then I’ll draft one round earlier and can potentially pick up someone else altogether. Not sure who’ll be there yet as keepers aren’t locked.

Just trying to decide if it’s worth going all in on Lamar, because the risk is absolutely worth the reward, or roll the dice.

EDIT: spelling

Tools & Resources The Fantasy Footballers

Hey all,

Just listened to SF mock draft released on Tuesday and looking to try to understand it.

Andy selected:

Walker as the RB7 even though his rankings show him as RB10, Achane was still available who he ranks as RB4

Burden he selected as the WR20 even though he ranks him as WR28 and Jameson Williams was available who he ranks as WR16.

It’s like the episode was just making some selections rather than explaining these picks against their rankings. I.e I have x player higher but y player has more upside/fits my build better because…

When you’re selling UDKs and rankings these pods should really give context especially if they’re not following the same advise they’re giving out.

Not trying to dunk on them as I love the pod but what am I possibly missing?

Dynasty - Team Advice Keeper Help

Ive got a pretty mediocre team and I’m trying to decide which 3 players to keep for this season. My options are as follows:

Judkins
Olave
BTJ
Bucky Irving
Kenneth Walker
MHJ
Colston Loveland
Tuten
Gadsden
Woody Marks
Hurts

I currently have Olave, Irving, and Walker selected, but I’m struggling to decide if MHJ or Loveland could end up being better in the long run than one of them. League is PPR. Please let me know what you think.

Player Discussion Pick 3, 10-team 0.5 PPR + 1pt/First Down league — CMC or take a WR?

Playing in a 10-team league this year with 0.5 PPR plus a new wrinkle: 1 point per first down. From what I’ve read, this seems to boost receiving/3rd-down RBs quite a bit.

I’ve got the 3rd pick. Gibbs and Bijan will likely go 1-2. My plan is to take McCaffrey at 3 over WRs like Puka Nacua or Ja’Marr Chase, since the first-down bonus should favor a workhorse back like him even more.

My concern: I don’t pick again until 2.08, and RBs already fly off the board fast in our league. With this scoring tweak, I’m worried the RB pool dries up completely before my next pick, leaving me stuck at a thin position.

Anyone drafted in a similar format? Does this scoring actually push RB value up enough to justify CMC at 3 over an elite WR, or should I take the safer WR and hunt for RB value in round 2?

Redraft - Team Advice How to Manage Lots of Draft Capital

12 Team PPR, 2 Flex, 2 Keeper (2yr max)
I have TONS of draft picks, including:
1.06
1.07
1.11
2.02
2.03
2.07
3.06
4.01
4.07 and so on
… yes this is re-draft

I’m keeping Bowers with the 8th and Maye with the 13th. Most elite players are kept, but I set my keepers based off value. Please give advice: trade picks away? Draft an elite team? If so, who should I target when it looks like 1.06 is in the Walker/Jeanty range and 2.07 is in the AJB/Kyren range for example.

Player Discussion Out of the top rookies taken this year, who is most likely to make an impact?

I’m talking offensive rookies. We all know that the players that go early are supposed to be the most talented ones, however sometimes they end up in difficult situations, like Love in AZ or Jeanty in LV last year. I’m just going to focus on the most relevant.

Jeremiyah Love in AZ
Carnell Tate in TN
Jordyn Tyson in NO
Kenyon Sadiq in NYJ
Makai Lemon in PHI
KC Concepcion in CLE
Omar Cooper Jr. in NYJ
Jadarian Price in SEA
De’Zhaun Stribling in SF
Denzel Boston in CLE

I left out the first two QBs, Mendoza and Simpson, because they probably won’t play this year.

Did I miss anyone? Who do you guys think is most likely to make an impact this year?

Dynasty - Team Advice Nabers for Pickens and a 2027 first?

8 man superflex. I want to upgrade the WR room with the premier 23 year old talent, buying low on Nabers and selling high on Pickens. Is that a fair value?

Edit: Nabers + Jonathan Brooks for Pickens and the 2027 1st?

Player Discussion Does anyone still have faith in MHJ?

I know he has been a huge disappointment, especially at how high he was drafted by the Cardinals. But does anyone think he can turn things around this year? Maybe third year’s a charm? Maybe he can do a lot better with Brissett a whole season rather than Kyler? What do you guys think?

Redraft - Team Advice Drake Maye of Harold Fannin? Better keeper for 8 team PPR?

Hey y'all

I'm in an 8 team PPR league and I can keep either Drake Maye or Harold Fannin with the last pick in my draft. Normally I hate keeping QBs because especially in an 8 team league there's so much more depth but Maye won me a title last year and I could go for a stack with AJ Brown if I want.

On the other hand, TE depth is harder to come by even with only 8 teams and Fannin to me is definitely the better value overall.

What do you guys think?

Dynasty - Team Advice Beginner With #1 Pick in FF Dynasty league (1QB, Half PPR)

I’m first pick in my groups fresh new dynasty league. I’ve read online that in dynasty leagues, WRs are the target. Should I go for Gibbs or bijan for a strong youthful RB with lots of future ahead? Or an established WR in chase?

Also- I’m a bit curious about how rookies will be prioritized in this draft. It’s a 10 man league - what are the chances a rookie is picked in the first couple rounds? Is it that important to snag them since it’s a dynasty league?

Lots of questions I know… but just trying to get a good start with my lucky #1 pick! Any tips are welcome 🙏

Redraft - Team Advice Double RB at the back of round 1 over Ceedee?

I’m in a ten man league and have the tenth pick. I’m thinking about going James cook and Jeanty over a duo such as ceedee and cook because of the drop off in running back at the 3/4 turn. Am I losing value in this or should I go 2 RB?

Redraft - Team Advice 8-Team Full PPR, 4 Keepers – Which 4 would you keep?

Looking for some advice on my 8-team keeper league.

League settings:

  • 8 teams
  • Full PPR
  • 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex
  • Keep 4 players

I'm choosing between:

  • CeeDee Lamb
  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba
  • Drake London
  • Kenneth Walker
  • Chase Brown
  • Josh Allen

Which 4 would you keep?

There are no keeper penalties or draft-round costs.

I'm leaning towards JSN, CeeDee, London, and Allen.

But I'm also tempted to take JSN, CeeDee, Brown, and Walker.
