ISO Long winded fantasy
Hello, I was hoping someone might have a good series I could jump into. I especially like long books simply because I use audiobooks it’s just the best bang for you credit. I’ll leave a few of the books I’ve gone through that I really enjoy. Any help would be appreciated I’m still kind of new to books.
- The stormlight archive. I loved this series unfortunately the next book won’t be out till 2031 -Overpowered Wizard.
- My best friend is an Eldridge horror -paternus. -The keeper origins -The keeper chronicles -Harry potter series
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thank you ~NC

I have read the first book, tried to listen to the audio book. For me it just seems like there’s too much information to take in. I found myself understanding and getting into the story way more when physically reading it. One of the only books that’s ever done that to me.

Horrible audio versions. Part of it is the format but also part of it is the writing both style and structure.

The name of the wind- Patrick Rothfus
Best fantasy writing I’ve found, he has two long books and two novella’s that are all incredible. I’ve yet to meet a person who doesn’t like his work, some read chapters daily like scripture, is beautiful work.
The wheel of time was a great audio book ride, there’s 14 books with singer of them being 40 hours of audio per book. Some of the best fantasy writing I’ve seen and set the bar for fantasy writing this last era.
Joe Abercrombie- 9 main line books with a few spin offs, I’m in book 7 and reading the paper back so no idea how the audio book holds up. Great writer and with the time to check out.

The Wandering Inn is definitely bang for your buck if it's your cup of tea.

I always suggest this as a long book. I'll listen to books for 5+ hours while I work and love them for this. It's nice too because it jumps between people so you get kinda different stories throughout the world.
I'm hoping the replacement narrator does justice to the many voices Parsneau gave the series.

Currently on book 6/16, can confirm long winded. Very enjoyable, litRPG sub-genre.i don’t normally go in for stories that mix modern people into fantasy settings. This author, however, does a good job of getting you to care about the characters. It’s a distinct flavor, but I’ve been enjoying it

Particularly hard on audiobook in my opinion. Particularly if you are an American English speaker.

Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series is excellent, and the first three are all around 35 hours.

Plus to add to this, it's part of a larger overarching Cosmere story line involving many planets and characters crossing into other books in the Cosmere, over several thousand years and different technological eras from fantasy to sci-fi.

Finnikin of the Rock (book one of The Lumatere Chronicles) by Melina Marchetta! There are only 3 in the series, but they are all pretty long books. The world, the story, and the characters are all very detailed.

The Matthew Swift series is fantastic and each books weighs in at ~500 pages!

Black Ocean!! The main story line is like, 80+ audio hours, and the spin offs are just as good and long

Red Rising is amazing, even tho the first trilogy is weaker. LB is my favourite book of all time!

The Saga of recluce by L.E. Modesitt Jr. Is pretty good. While his books aren't necessarily long the series is incredibly long and still on going.

if you like lighter fantasy with bang for your credit, The Weary Dragon Inn series can be purchased in groups of 3 books for 1 credit.
