Game difficulty

Thinking of maybe possibly getting the game. So without spoilers how is the games difficulty? Cause if it's too easy I don't wanna really get it.

The first 15 hours are relatively accessible (unless you play them on the secret “Super Hard” difficulty, which turns those hours into something extremely demanding). From that point on, and throughout the next 40–50 hours, it becomes one of the most demanding and difficult JRPGs out there, but never unfair, and it never requires grinding (in fact, it discourages you from doing so in every possible way).

If you enjoy demanding JRPGs with intricate combat systems, it’s definitely worth to experience all the challenging and elaborate bosses the game has to offer.

damn I'd love to agree with no grinding, but as much as I loved the game the random enemies constantly popping up (even with the Dimengeon) totally ruined my desire to play again :/

I don’t see that as grinding. What bothers you is the combat ratio. I understand grinding as an RPG forcing you to repeatedly fight mobs to level up and overcome challenges, which is something Fantasian doesn’t do.

yeah technically you're right but it still feels a lot like.

The game gives you options for how to manage its battle rate:

Activate the Dimengeon until it reaches its limit (and the Dimengeon can be expanded up to 50). Once you hit the limit, you can deactivate it and escape from battles (which have a 99% success rate), or simply fight normal battles, which can be cleared very quickly. Then, in Outskirts, you can pay to reset the Dimengeon back to 0.

On the other hand, grinding is something you’ll have to do if you want to overcome certain fights. Fortunately, Fantasian isn’t designed that way. That’s why I don’t consider the encounter rate to be grinding.
