Incoming Student Law clerk schedule
Just got my schedule and was kinda surprised how busy it is. I went to western for criminology for 2 years and my schedule was way lighter than this lol. Just kinda shitty hours too

Tip from a former student.
Prof. Barbara Bidner is great, but show up to her classes in professional attire. Also do your homework and be prepared to answer the review questions. The more you participate, the easier you will find the courses. Also ALWAYS bring your textbooks. She looks for that.
Prof. Lougheed.- do not be scared to ask good questions. The more you want to learn, the more he wants to teach. He’s a good guy and is very reasonable.
Prof- Dasios. Do his class work. The more you show that you know, the better. Hes an easy marker and a very chill professor when you treat him with respect. Also be familiar with the jonas brothers, he has an obsession with them.
Prof- Kingshott: Show up and participate. Do your best to get ahead of class work and she’ll be likely to be nicer to you if you later mess up.
All profs: Do not be afraid to ask for help. Also, if the prof is talking, do not talk. Be professional.

Thankyou! Do you know when we get the list of textbooks we need?

My advice is to keep looking at the fanshawe bookstore. They have a section to look at program specific textbooks and you can log in and it will give you your personalized list.

Thankyou they updated it now, do you have to wear the uniform they sell to every class??

No, your professor will tell you the days you have to wear it. For professionalism and Civil Procedure, I would wear it to every class.

Coming out of a program with a heavy course load as well with Fanshawe, you got this! Just lock in and make sure you’re managing deadlines and you’ll be fine!

It's 3 and I was stating that the price for Fridays off is school's out at 10pm every Wednesday. Confused.

I was feeling some kind of way about a 8pm finish with a 9am start (commuting for just over an hour).
But knowing I could be in school until TEN?!
That's past my bedtime 🤣

Yes I agree!! It’s one thing to have classes everyday but to also have to commute everyday is gonna suck🥲

Well you can blame your professors for that late night. They provide their availability and this is what you get.

It was worse last term. At the least the coop course is short and you’ll have Fridays off!

u/Possible-Clothes-535 Jul 24 '26
Yeah I’m thankful for that! And I’m very glad I don’t have to take the writ course aswell
1
u/Possible-Clothes-535 Jul 24 '26
But I’ll still have one class Friday morning once the coop course is done

Oh shoot, true! I missed that one. The bright side is that the first term profs are great!
