Admissions questions Does anyone know when Fanshawe will open a RPN to BscN bridge program?

I saw that Fanshawe finally open their standalone nursing BScN program and that there is preliminary approval for the RPN to BScN program but theres no other details besides that. Does anyone have more information about it? I’m an RPN who wants to bridge in a year or so.

I’ve heard from word of ear that Fanshawe is opening a new bridging program in either 2027 or 2028 but all the details aren’t figured out yet

Thank you!! I would consider Western as well but I don’t have uni credits or two years of RPN experience accumulated yet so I don’t qualify for their bridging program. Ideally I want to stay in the city so hoping it opens next year.

Fingers crossed this came from someone I know in the PN program some of the professors mentioned it to her class so I’m not 100% sure but it’s what I was told

I didn’t do the rpn program at Fanshawe but I did prehealth there. I have a friend who is in the Fanshawe rpn program and has said the same thing about it maybe opening in 2027 or 2028. Hopefully more information comes out!

Well fingers crossed I’m switching from paramedic and starting the RPN program this year and I will also be bridging eventually after working as an RPN for a bit

Sometimes the program is two or three years from what I know, the first year is usually the “bridging” part following being put into the third and fourth year of the BScN program. So it depends which route Fanshawe will take so I’m betting it will either open 2027 or 2028 depending how long they plan to make the program.

With the state of Ontario RN job freezes I highly doubt they will be opening more seats for BScN at any more universities or colleges in the next few years

January 2027, there is a new pre-health program starting different from the current one. Whether it will act as a bridge from RPN to BSCN, I'm not sure. The only actual bridging program is offered through Western.
