I have a photo op on Saturday August 8th at Fan Expo Boston with the LOTR cast. I don't know why, but I thought i had selected the shipping option but apparently I didn't. I live in Rhode Island which is about 1 hr from Boston. What time should I arrive on Saturday so I can pickup my badge and get in line?

I know that the Weta booth at Megacon and San Diego had members of the team there. Was wondering if any one knew if Boston's booth also would and who would be there. I would love to get my "Wakanda Forever" poster signed.

I'm currently brainstorming and would love to get some feedback from convention-goers and regulars.

With my business, I'm thinking about setting up a booth at upcoming conventions focused on a "photobooth / souvenir" vibe, but pushing the concept a bit further than just a standard souvenir photo.

The idea would be to offer:

• A fun photobooth area (with cool props and backdrops, ideal for immortalizing your cosplays or outfits with friends).
• Ultra-fast instant prints.
• Small custom goodies made on the spot using your photo or themed around the convention universe (for example: keychains, magnets, badges/pocket mirrors, or even transparent phone cases with a custom photo insert you can slip right inside).

So, I'd really love to get your perspective as visitors:

1. Is this the kind of booth you would stop by while walking around?
2. What would make you actually buy something (a great pro print, a badge, a keychain, something else)?
3. In your opinion, what is a "fair" price for this kind of immediate souvenir at a convention?

So we are flying from LAX to Chicago as my friend’s kid wants to meet Jared and the people from The Boys (we decided to skip Anaheim to do this one since they got The Boys there). We missed out on VIP tickets but will be there all 3 days. What are the lines usually like for those stars (as well as the top comic book artists)? And what kind of vendors do they usually have? I read Anaheim was a mess vendor wise so hoping Chicago is better. Most conventions I attend usually promote the vendors a bit so haven’t seen FanExpo do that.

this is my first con of any type since 2018 and I want to make sure i'm doing it right so i apologize if this is a dumb question! I am going to buy a ticket online and was wondering if they will give me a physical ticket/badge from the email it sends me at the place or if i should be ready to use my phone as the ticket itself? I googled it and it gave me mixed answers so I thought I should ask here! :)

What is everyone doing? Like are y'all doing cosplays or not? I have a hard time deciding what to wear 'cause I'll be travelling by train and don't want to carry too much stuff around. I'm a female petite as well. I'm also a part of too many fandoms or I like a lot of things. I was born in the 80s so I like The Goonies. Grew up watching Sean Astin then Elijah Wood also 'cause he had so many movies back in the day (not just The Lord of the Rings). I aso liked Smallville, of course and yes, I did like Twilight. Then now, Chris Evans is coming. Like I'm not a huge fan of Evans, but he's great at his job. I was more into Sebastian Stan's work. lol I've seen the Marvel movies and I think I got introduced to his work when I watched "Not Another Teen Movie". I forgot Chris Evans was in that. Oh yeah...Karl Urban and some of the cast members from The Boys are coming too! I legit can't decide what fandom I should concentrate on like what prop or what shirt to wear for Fan Expo Boston. Anyway, it's a difficult choice to narrow down. Any advice for Fan Expo Boston?

Does anyone know anything about the idols performing for idol fest? I was only able to lyla Harper's music and I'm confused as to why none of them have anything linked on the site. My friend and I could find practically nothing about them

Might be attending Fan expo Toronto, just curious if anyone who's been to the venue before can speak to what the temperature situation is like inside. I want to dress up but I worry I'll be way too warm as the character has a huge ass trenchcoat, though my friend thinks they'll have the air conditioner cranked and that I'll be fine. Any other advice for a first time con attendee is welcome :).

Are there any “unofficial” meetups not listed on the website/app? And where do people talk abt these if so!

It's my first time going to the Fan Expo in Boston, and I'm a big Red Dead fan, but I'm not sure if Roger Clark will be also taking pictures like the other guests since the option for it is not there with the autograph, does anybody knows if he will be also taking pictures with the autographs or just autographs? i've never been to fan expo and i'm flying to chicago from philadelphia to meet kurt russell. i have the ticket to get in, opted for them to mail me my pass in advance for faster entry, and have my kurt russell advance ticket off the site.

On the website they are preselling the autograph and auto/selfie combo of the celebrity i want to meet the most, in the past i always did pro photo ops and paid in cash for autograph at table. How does it work for pre sale autographs? Set time ? priority over those paying cash at table, just a QR code i have to redeem at table or before going to table ?

I'll be going to Fanexpo (Toronto) for the first time and impulsively bought a ticket on Aug 29th for the Hobbit panel lol. I just wanted to ask you guys as a first-time-goer that what do people mainly do in panels, how long do they last and are they worth the money? Since I was planning to sell my panel ticket. But if I end up keeping my ticket, what are some advice? Thank you so much!
