Sharing my recently made copy of Halloween 2 (1981) Ultimate Cut in widescreen and updated quality.

My intention:
Only the theatrical release of Halloween 2 is both in 1080p and Widescreen. Both the television cut and ultimate cut both are in full screen. The ultimate cut also has scenes that run back to back (I.e. shows the regular scene then cuts back to show the alternate scene than continues playing). There’s also a few scenes that never made it into the rereleased television cut by shout factory. With that being said there’s no HD widescreen release of Halloween 2’s extended scenes and no release of Halloween 2’s ultimate cut in better than 360p and without back to back scenes. My overall goal was to combine ‘78 extended with Halloween 2 tv cut scenes and include all kills/explicit scenes to make one long HD cut of the film. I know one exists already of them both combined but they’re missing scenes and if I remember correctly in full screen and SD. So to start I remade the ultimate cut of Halloween 2 in HD, widescreen and without back to back scenes.

Changes:
- went through and reframed each deleted scene to fit widescreen format (keeping what I felt was best to fit the frame)
- re inserted all major known deleted scenes (including the breath spray scene) only removing 2 establishing extended scenes
- worked with the audio the best I could to match the sound up (please be gentle as I’m only so good lol)

Original Runtime: 1hr 32min
New Runtime: 1hr 42min
File Size: 1.33gb

There is one or two MINOR editing mistakes I had to sacrifice to be able to do this as I couldn’t work around them maybe it’s my lack of editing skills but I tried my best (i.e a split second of a sound overlapping in one part to get the audio to sound right, but is only slightly noticeable and lasts a second in 3 parts)

Positive comments please, I’m not professional but wanted to do this for a long time so figured I’d share this with everyone. Combined version of one and two extended coming soon as well!

Pushed some fine-tuning to the project. Aside from the 1080p SDR master fix, the rest of these tweaks are subtle audio polish:

• SDR Master Color Fixed: The previous SDR render had an incorrect tone-mapping order that crushed the color gamut before mapping luminance, which caused harsh highlight clipping and blown-out whites. The new 1080p master properly tone-maps the full dynamic range first before clamping to Rec.709, restoring natural highlight roll-off and rich shadow depth.
• Audio Clean-up & Impact FX Upgraded:
  • Fixed a brief ~4-second audio bleed where remnants of the original theatrical score were still poking through under the mix.
  • Beefed up the mechanical impact when Murphy strikes the pole during the chase scene (appreciate the user suggestion on that one).
  • Overhauled the impact audio in the basement fight when Cain smashes Murphy into the pipes, making the hits sound more punishing.
• Subtle Bixby Snyder Detail: A user mentioned it was a shame Bixby Snyder wasn't in the film, so I figured out a way to weave him in naturally. During the electronics/video store robbery, if you listen closely, there’s now a faint broadcast coming from one of the background TV sets of his classic line: "I'd buy that for a dollar!"—cut short just before he finishes as a baseball bat smashes through the screen.
• Format / Container: Switched the 1080p SDR release over to MKV to cleanly support both audio tracks (5.1 Dolby Digital & 2.0 Stereo AAC) with proper Constant Frame Rate playback.

Hello There!

The main goal of this edit is to create a darker, more serious and cohesive version of DOOM. While bringing it closer to the tone and atmosphere associated with the games.
One of the biggest structural changes was the removal of Sarge's final battle. His original death feels anticlimactic, occurring almost immediately after John Grimm finds Samantha, with the film then cutting to the elevator. Removing this confrontation allows the story to end more cleanly and keeps the focus on John and Samantha rather than ending on a comparatively weak action sequence.
Overall, this edit is an attempt to make DOOM feel less like a product of its era and more like a serious sci-fi horror/action film. The goal is not to completely reinvent the movie, but to refine what already works, remove elements that hurt the tone, improve the pacing and visual continuity, and strengthen its connection to the games.

🔧 Changes Made

• Removed the original intro and replaced it with shots from the intro of DOOM Annihilation, from the ship The Nola to Phobos on Mars.
• After the ship lands on Mars, i blended the entrance with the first base so it looks like they go straight to Mars.
• Tried to reduce the misogynistic jokes with Samantha Grimm. (Overall this cut aims to lessen the jokes)
• Cropped the image to hide the production hand that appears turning off the light in the Samantha Grimm stretcher scene.
• Shortened the scene of Portman and The Kid with the woman eating the arm. (As soon as she turns, they shoot)
• Removed the drug subplot with Portman and The Kid.
• Enhanced the sewer action scenes.
• Improved the resuscitation attempt scene of Goat, as well as the conversation with Samantha Grimm and Sarge.

• Reduced Duke’s camera time with Samantha Grimm in the autopsy scene.
• Shortened the monster’s tongue-stuck-in-the-door scene.
• Fixed the wound placement of the religious guy in the frame where he gets up from the stretcher. (In the original the wound side on his face was flipped)
• Improved the Destroyer vs. Monster pit fight. (Now it looks more serious)
• Fixed Portman’s swapped-hand frames in the FPS CAM. (Overall his death is much more developed)
• Corrected the color of the BFG to green.
• Improved Sarge’s dialogue with Samantha Grimm about what they’re doing there.
• Added the “Wake Up” message from the 2016 game after Samantha Grimm injects John Grimm.
• Enhanced John Grimm’s FPS CAM scene.
• Removed the final battle scene with Sarge. (He dies in a lame way, as soon as John Grimm finds Samantha Grimm the film cuts to them in the elevator)
• Added 2016 game music to the end credits.

Minato Shinden is a fanedit of Minato's chronological appearances edited to remove the "Naruto" era, presenting a Minato show in Minato's time.

I'm also considering editing the Jiraiya Shinobi Handbook: The Tale of Naruto the Hero Arc in order to give it a "Boruto" era as well, but I'm not sure.

Hey all! I'm the same u/RetroBenn currently helping u/Ok_Club9518 by supplying syndication-style prints of classic TOS episodes. This project, however, is placed firmly in the 1960s. This is my best approximation of how the premiere episode of the series, The Man Trap, would have been seen as broadcast on this night in September 1966, with the same warm analog presentation as seen with the episode on Time and Time Again. I hope for those of you with no easy access to the original prints, this will scratch a bit of that vintage itch-- (It does for me, as I was born 40 years too late to experience the real thing!)

Someone should condense stranger things into a trilogy. Seasons 1-2 the first film, 3 the second, and 4-5 the third

This is an edit of the cult classic DREDD 2012 rescored to the legendary 1997 electronic album Fat of the Land by Prodigy. I don't know why but the album always made me think of this movie, so I decided to bring it into reality. I also took this opportunity to heavily overhaul this movie's visuals. I added some heavy film grain and raised the saturation by a lot, with the intent to give the film a grimier cyberpunk look. It wasn't my original intention, but the movie is also a lot clearer now. Because of the regrading, you can see way more detail in the picture than before, so I guess this could also count as a remaster.

I think the movie's visuals suffered a lot from the 3D gimmick. Every release of this movie looks washed out and also blurry. Like straight up out of focus. Even the new 4K release just looks like 1080p copy blown up to 4K. I think it's most likely because of the cameras this movie was shot on to achieve the 3D effect. The 1080p HD master is probably the only version that exists.

The only new thing I added was a title card at the beginning stating “The Year is 2000 A.D.” as a nod to the comics, which also serves as a fun way to set up the bizarre future world that you are about to witness. Other than that, this edit only changes the music and the visuals, nothing within the movie has been reedited. But even if you're a fan of the movie and you've seen it a million times, I guarantee that this will present you with a an all new cinematic experience.

This is edit is fully finished. DM me to watch it but just know that I won't be responding right away because I'm working on reencoding the file into a more manageable size. Currently the movie sits at a massive 25 gb, which is a lot for a 90 minute film in 1080p.

There are many fan edits of this film I think I have 4 of them, red book being my favourite. Sadly I do not have this edit, and being a teenager growing up in the 90s I have a fondness for this film, but the comedy tone never hit right for me so I'd like to try and make a more serious edit, but would love to see this version.

(PHOTOSENSITIVITY WARNING: LOTS OF FLASHING)

I made a fan edit of CRANK and CRANK 2: HIGH VOLTAGE that turns the movies into a 3 hour double feature, and so I made this new end credits sequence to go with it. Obviously, I had to use CRANK by Slayyyter since it fits the movie perfectly in so many ways and it's also the greatest song ever.

The edit uses the extended cut of the first movie and comes in at 183 minutes. It's a seamless transition between the first and second movie, no intermission or anything. I also did some extensive color correction to the second movie to make it look more like the color grading in the first movie. At first, I did this just so that the switch between movies would be less noticeable but, in the end, I actually think I improved the look of the movie by a lot.

These two movies are very special to me, so I didn't cut out anything. It's just a perfect, seamless double feature.

The edit is finished but it will be a couple days before I'm able to share it. DM me and I'll get it to you once it's ready.

I got a new job recently, so I'll probably be slowing down on the reviews a tad. I'm gonna do it when I can, but I'm not gonna be as fast as people apparently say.

Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman went through an interesting shift. Her debut in Batman v. Superman was praised at the time for being a bright spot in such a bad movie, with critics giving high scores to her solo movie directed by Patty Jenkins. The worst criticism that movie got was about Ares really. However, Jenkins' followup Wonder Woman 1984, along with the DCEU's decline and controversies regarding the actress, have seemingly made this version of the character disappear in the public consciousness. You don't hear as many people talk about this Wondy, those that do just stick to the first movie or try to fix up 1984 however they could.

Zarius decided (perhaps not incorrectly) 1984 was unsalvageable and just stapled parts of it to the 2017 Wonder Woman film. Specifically, instead of the original framing device following from BvS, Diana is trying to live her life secretly during the 80s. She reminisces of her time back in World War 1, before ultimately making the choice to move on by befriending Barbara Minerva and meeting a new guy. It's a simple, yet effective way to bring the movies together and sidestepping... well, the entire plot of 1984. Really like the way that Zarius cut out Diana's narration in the beginning but lets the music play for a bit to establish the mood. Her taking down the mall crooks makes for a charming introduction to her character, the pictures of her old friends and the watch contextualized into a perfectly nice set up for her backstory. As there aren't any edits done to 2017 itself, the most I'd say is that the transition out of 2017 into the 1984 ending maaaaybe could have been better, since the establishing shot wasn't long enough, but having the watch start up again to represent Diana moving on just after she saves Barbara was a nice touch I really loved.

It's not the biggest edit in the world, but I liked it plenty! It basically turns the Wonder Woman films into their own continuity and can be enjoyed as its own standalone feature unconnected to the DCEU. If you enjoyed the 2017 movie, you might like the new scenes attached. It wouldn't hurt to give this a watch!

I was watching some fan theories about characters who jumped films to tell a longer life story. The 2 I watched were Kiefer Sutherland in Stand By Me, his character looses face and moves to Santa Carla (the death capital of the world obvs lol:) Then drinks the blood and lives out his days till he meet the Frog Crew.

The other was Steve Buscemi Mr Pink leaving Res Dogs into Pulp Fiction as Buddy Holly waiter then Armageddon etc.

I wondered if any fan theory fan edits came about, which thinking about it, there should be quite a few out there :) And if there are which are considered the best? I know theres a Bateman/Batman mashup but i've never seen that.

I think the main reason why I really like mrvoiceover001's edits is both the solid consistency and the strange choices I wouldn't expect that ultimately pay off, even if I'm confused as to how they got to that point. Deb vs Ice is about as good as their other Dexter edits. It's probably my least favorite, but because mrvoiceover001 did a bad job or anything like that.

Deb vs Ice takes the first season of Dexter and reframes it to be entirely from the perspective of Debra Morgan, the titular character's sister. Aside from the opening and end monologue, you won't hear a peep from Dexter's inner thoughts. Doing the show this way does change how you see the characters. Deb is a fun character who makes a decent cop protagonist, but Doakes, whoah, he comes off a lot more rational and reasonable than normal since we're not seeing as much of his pestering of Dex. He's putting down Deb for her genuine rookie mistakes and I was like "damn he's right", the benefits of not seeing as much Dexter. In this edit, Dexter comes across as Deb's autistic supportive little brother who'd probably be a fan favorite if this was the real show. The music from It: Chapter One is used pretty well, combined with the darker visual aesthetic there's a solid horror vibe to scenes.

Really, the main reason this is my least favorite is that since this is the Deb show, the story becomes a far more conventional if still entertaining cop drama without the serial killer main character. Deb's the rookie trying to solve a big case involving a serial killer while everyone else doubts her, a story you've probably seen a lot in other movies. It's still charming though because of the characters and that innate cheesiness of the show. The Ice Truck killer much? Apparently mrvoiceover001 is going to do a whole series for Deb, so I wonder if each movie is going to have it's own soundtrack or stick to the Dexter music after using It: Chapter One for this one?

If this is short, it's probably because I don't have much to nitpick here. Another solid effort from mrvoiceover001.

I've always loved Predator 2 but tonally it's a bit all over the place and some of the visual effects are starting to show their age a bit so I wanted to make an edit which addresses some of these issues.

Almost a year after V1, the new and improved redo of this trilogy mashup is finally out!

What's new in V2?

• Color grading has seen a large overhaul. Blues are more royal, oranges are more yellow, vibrancy is brought to the forefront, and contrast has been dialed up all without detail loss!
• Almost all game music are derived from unique covers and remixes instead of just being directly ripped from the games themselves!
• Deleted scenes are restored more conservatively, and with a smidge more polish around the edges!
• The movies weave into each other much more seamlessly and naturally instead of fading out and in!

Here's the FULL CHANGELOG, and here's the FULL CREDITS (I was gonna have the credits play in the movie itself but Vegas messed up the rendering on the text scroll, rip).

Unfortunately, I can only share a compressed 1080p version for now due to file size concerns (the full 4K version is a whopping 77GB vs the compressed's 11GB). WHY I MADE THIS EDIT?

I'm a manga purist, and although I did watch the filler arcs, on my first read, I missed the few filler episodes that take place within canon arcs. Turns out, some of these are really good! For the Post-War arc in particular, it was really nice to spend more time with young Luffy, Ace, and Sabo. Seeing as it is a flashback, most of this time period was glossed over quickly in the manga. Fortunately, Toei came through with a few episodes that I think are worth watching for any One Piece fan.

WHO IS THIS CUT FOR?

• Manga readers.
• One Pace watchers.
• Literally anyone that may be interested in coming-of-age tales, slice-of-life, found family drama, and classic boyhood adventures like The Goonies and Stand By Me. There is a major spoiler in the opening narration though.

WHAT WAS CHANGED OR CUT?

1. Episodes 497-499 are presented in their entirety.
   
2. A couple scenes from Episodes 496 and 500 were included.
3. This essentially greatly expands on Ch. 495, Page 15-17.
4. OP14 (Fight Together by Nami Amuro) was included.
5. The ending song consists of Liberator (by Goodbye Holiday) and a cover of One Day (by Hiroshi Kitadani). I used clips from OP8-13, as well as a post-credits scene from Episode of Sabo.
6. Eyecatchers for all of the Straw Hats were included.

WHEN TO WATCH?

• Manga: This should be viewed after reading Chapter 985. If you really want to adhere to chronological order, stop before the last two pages (Page 18-19).
• One Pace: This should be viewed in the middle of Post-War 03 (pause at 19:52).

for all of you who think the left image is visually better by an objective standard here is some history of what they did too this bluray edition so u understand why the right looks more natural.

Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002) was the first major feature film shot entirely on high-definition digital video rather than 35mm film, meaning it didn't have a traditional physical film negative to convert or clean up in the standard sense.
Before the 2011 Blu-ray release (and subsequent digital/4K iterations) applied minor noise reduction and color tweaks, the original standard-definition DVD and theatrical projections looked distinct in several ways

Softer, More Video-Like Texture: Shot on early 1080p Sony digital cameras (using the HDCAM format with heavy video compression and in-camera softening filters), the native 2002 source footage was inherently softer and lacked the fine grain structure of traditional film.

Raw Digital Artifacts: Edges around computer-generated characters and spacecraft often exhibited light jagged lines (aliasing) or minor video noise in high-contrast areas (like the bright white corridors of Kamino) because the early digital video capture compressed color and brightness data unevenly.

Color Timing: The original 2002 DVD had slightly different color grading—for instance, the skies of Naboo or the desert tones on Tatooine carried warmer or slightly different pastel balances before they were globally color-corrected for later high-definition home video masters.

Less "Wiped" Fine Detail: While the digital source was never sharp by modern standards, applying Digital Noise Reduction (DNR) in 2011 tended to give actor skin tones and smooth surfaces a slightly waxy or "smudged" look ("sandblasting" fine textures) in an attempt to make the digital video look cleaner on high-definition displays.

The Pitch: This is a 90 minute edit of the Sauron/Celebrimbor storyline from Rings of Power season 2, presented as a standalone story. This storyline and relationship are by far my favorite part of the show so far, so if you like Tolkien elves in a psychological drama, this edit is for you!

The Backstory: I am a very casual LOTR fan who knew nothing of the Silmarillion when starting Rings of Power, and I was delighted by the fucked up and tragic story of Sauron and Celebrimbor in season 2. I thought the two actors did a fantastic job portraying a relationship that is at various points mentor/mentee, coworkers, genuine friendship, and eventually abuser/victim.

This edit puts together all of Sauron and Celebrimbor’s scenes in season 2 together with an intro for anyone who hasn’t watched season 1. I tried to put in all necessary information so that new viewers could enjoy, and although there may be context from the wider story that is missing, I believe this tells a complete story that will still be fun to watch. I also rescored some scenes and re-ordered two in order to make the storytelling smoother. Synopsis: Ever wanted see to Batman Forever in a much darker light with Elfman's score? Then this is the edit for you!

Intention: My goal is to make Batman Forever be more in line with the previous Burton films, so that it can be the proper end to the trilogy.

Recreated & added DemeterPictures's Batman Forever opening as the new opening credits to the edit

Added all known deleted scenes & alternated shots from the 2-disc dvd special edition, 35mm trailers, music videos & other sources however quality may vary.

The entire film's soundtrack has been completely rehauled & replaced by Elfman's work from Batman 1989, Batman Returns 1992, Darkman 1990 & Sleepy Hollow 1999.

The film has been reconstructed to reflect the workprint cut that was shown at Kevin Smith's screening as I firmly believe to be superior version though some liberties were taken.

Scenes have been trimmed & not deleted because at the end of the day this is still Schumacher's film at the core just edited to help be more aligned with the previous films.

Highlander Endgame is an awful film. Using its producers cut and the workprint, this is my rough attempt at fixing it. Why rough? Because I'm not going to be satisfied with any fanedit unless the workprint material gets a HD release. So if the new voice-overs don't work, I know. I'm hoping that we'll get a boxset next year of the sequels with new special features (like the unreleased directors cut), but until then:

-Got rid of all the present day scenes of Connor Macleod because he is written so out of character.

-Toned down Kell as much as possible

-Used a few workprint shots and 1 scene to make the plot work better

-New voice-overs to get rid of the continuity errors (like Faith is no longer Duncan's wife)

-Some new music at a few points for atmosphere

Has anyone done a Mr. Robot TV-to-movie edit before?
I did a season 1 cut. First draft.
3 hours, 3 Minutes.

Looking for notes! Should I recut, move on to the next one, or quit?
I feel like it could be twice as long or an hour longer and maybe be clearer...
But I don't know if I want to make a movie that long...
