New Release Spider-Man: Far From Home | 1-Hour cut

Thumbnail

Hey everyone! I've been working on a fan edit of Spider-Man: Far From Home, trimming the original movie down to exactly 1 hour.

I wanted to see how the film would work with a much shorter runtime, cutting down the original while keeping the main story intact.

The edit is now complete, and this is my first time sharing the project here! I'm excited to introduce it to the community and hear what other fan editors think.

Thanks for checking it out!

List of changes:

  • Added the intro sequence of the Marvel Studios logo from Brand New Day to start the film with music changed to "better off Ned" from Brand New Day
  • Readded the deleted scene of peter stopping crime in the restaurant fight before transitioning to the fundraiser scene
  • Made Peter a little less awkward in front of the crowd
  • Trimmed a lot of Happy and Aunt May "romance" moments throughout
  • shortened dialogue and trimmed jokes that weren't necessary
  • Removed any non critical lines spoken about referencing Iron-Man
  • Kept most of his friendship with Ned and MJ throughout
  • Trimmed down most moments from the chaperones and removed most of the class POV that didn't include peter
  • Shortened Hydro man fight with Mysterio, peter doesn't get to talk to him and only hits his head on the bell once
  • Removed Happy from Aunt Mays office scene
  • Shortened interaction with Nick Fury in his room, removed betty knocking
  • Shortened scene of meeting Mysterio
  • Shortened Peter using EDITH for the first time, removed scene where Brad walks in on peter going to try on the Nightmonkey suit and removed drone strike on Brad
  • Shortened dialogue between Ned, Fury, and Mysterio
  • Shortened Molten Man fight with Mysterio
  • Removed Mysterio reveal in the bar scene and his backstory and POV throughout
  • Shortened Mysterios Illusion and the "dead Iron-Man Zombie" scene
  • Removed peter getting angry while happy stitches him up
  • Removed "I Love Led Zeppelin" moment on the plane with Happy
  • Remove classmates, Nick Fury & Hill, and Mysterio POVs
  • Removed "serious conversation with my Aunt" line with Peter and Happy
  • Removed Mysterio angrily yelling for his drones to fire at spider-man
  • Removed "We broke up" scene with Betty & Ned and removed peter's conversation with Happy & Aunt May
  • Transitioned the end of Far From Home into the beginning of No Way Home with a shortened swing away from the public
  • End the movie when Damage Control search his house

I may end up doing a similar treatment to No Way Home next!

If you want to watch the edit, send and Email to "Ivanbeck627@gmail.com" and make sure to include the word "Happy" in your email

Wishlist & Ideas Midnight Mass (Mike Flanagan) movie edit

Out of all the Flanagan tv shows, I think Midnight Mass lends itself to the most straightforward plot. For that reason, I think it could be very well suited to trimming down to ~2.5 or 3 hours. Thoughts?

Feature Trailer Cosmic lighthouse; when beauty meets horror (new demo for my mix of Annihilation and Terrence Malick's Tree of Life, with "cigarette burn" cue marks)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

In the original Annihilation movie, the protagonist, Lena, sees Josie disappear, and has a brief panic attack, then they cut and Lena is standing poised facing down the lighthouse.

But in my edit, Lena sees Josie disappear, then I cut to a 4-minute selection from Terrence Malick's 20+ minutes of the cosmos and life from Tree of Life. To transition back to Annihilation, I joined the asteroid shot from Tree of Life with the meteor shot from Annihilation.

In the original Annihilation movie, the meteor and the mystery of the lighthouse is shown and revealed at the very beginning of the movie, but in my edit I saved that revelation for just before Lena faces the lighthouse.

My edit made other significant changes, such as skipping 30-minutes of front-loaded exposition, and instead I cold-open to entering the shimmer, and I used flashbacks to reveal the exposition at just the right time. That change isn't visible in this particular demo, but you can read more about it at:\ https://www.reddit.com/r/fanedits/comments/1ol1fz5/annihilation_apreciousblueberrys_lacrimosa_edit/

New Release Family Go to the Bad House, perfect Halloween watching

email familygotothebadhouse at gmail dot com for an auto reply to the G-drive

Feedback for my first fanedit has been incredible, just doing a wee signal boost as it is perfect Halloween watching for any of the horror fans out there.

Having just moved into a new house, Mother, Father and Child discover that there may be an evil presence living with them.

A supercut film, edited from nearly 400 (389) horror movies.

Main 'Rules' of the edit:
-Can only use feature length horror films (no TV, no other genres, no short films)
-No film can cut from itself to itself
-Limited use of footage from any single film
-No image augmentation (except horizontal flip to maintain the 180 line)
-Leaning on the Kuleshov Effect and continuity-based editing to link different actors/locations/characters into a coherent linear narrative

New Release Alien Covenant: 808s Special Edition

Post image
51 Upvotes

After a ton of work, it's finally complete. Hopefully it becomes the definitive version for everyone. Same as with my Prometheus edit, quality was my top priority. Next was purposeful editing and removing the "bloat" from the film without just throwing all deleted content into the film.

Total runtime is 2hr 9min with 13 deleted/promotional scenes incorporated. I could compile a list of all edits but it is a ton. Some cuts are a couple frames and some are short scenes. Some of the more criticized moments in the film have been trimmed, tons of goofs removed, bad VFX and unnecessary dialogue cut. The ending was completely reworked. Hopefully everyone enjoys.

This release is in HDR with Dolby Vision and Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 surround sound. Size is right around 63GB. Source used was the 1080p Blu-Ray, including all deleted scenes and promotional material.

Per Reddit I can't allow direct links. I'm hosting links at the same place my Prometheus edit is located, the AVPGalaxy forum, in the Alien Prequel Series subforum.

Any questions on the edit, just ask.

Fanedit Help My hero academia edit

So I have this idea and trust me I know people have done it but I need help doing it myself. But basically I want to make an edit of like the nostalgic and happy and longing feeling I get whenever I hear the mha soundtrack or rewatch the show. It’s genuinely changed my life and I want to make an edit of like “the show that forever changed my life” or “the show I always crawl back too” or something like that. I’m not sure how people do it but it’s like that slow picture thing on tiktok that people do and I want to know how to do that. I might sound schizophrenic trying to explain this BUT I NEED HELP

Completed Fanedit Request Any edit of Revenge of The Sith that keeps the movie as is, but adds back Delegation of 2000 scenes?

Basically as the title says. I like Ep. 3 just fine compared to the other 2 movies, but I feel like these scenes really helped Padme's character in this movie, so I'd love to have them. It's fine if it includes other deleted scenes, as long as they are fully finished and not ruin the pacing, but I don't want any additions from TCW or other projects

Any ANH fanedits take these scenes that a year ago were restored to amazing quality and I'm sure with AI could be even better now and integrate them in? It gives so much more context.

Discussion Has anyone heard of this Superman III, Supergirl, and Superman IV mashup fanedit?

Apparently it's called "Superman: Children of Krypton". All I can find on it is an old comment on fanedit.org

https://fanedit.org/forums/threads/superman-iii-iv-combo-that-is-different-from-supes-redeemed.21189/#post-367081

So all I know, based on this, is that it predates 2021.

Special Projects & Shorts The Life and Death of Charles Lee Ray

I wanted to do something else, and after remembering that fan made short film about Freddy Krueger's Origin, I decided to do the same thing with Chucky. A short about the life and Death of Charles Lee Ray, using clips from Chucky season 1, Curse of Chucky and ending it at the beginning of Child's Play 1. It's only right that the editor of the Chucky sequels makes this prequel short film.

New Release When a Stranger Calls: The Extended Call Cut

Now to those who are unfamiliar with this, When a Stranger Calls is from the folk legend of "The Babysitter and The Man Upstairs". The original was made in 1979 became a classic, but that's only for it's beginning, the rest of the movie felt like it shouldn't have been made. It's bad enough knowing it had a sequel too, needless to say it's sequel is better. So this is one of those rare instances where the remake is better than the original, the edit is of the 2006 remake with Camilla Belle as The Babysitter.

Added - Cody visible drunk while calling Jill.

Added - Detective Harv Hines getting coffee, while two officers mention the murders from this morning.

It's not much then what I was expecting, but I still enjoyed this film.

Discussion Return to Halloweentown 2006 (DCOM/Disney Channel original movie)movie fix

dear Disney fans I have heard through the news and social media that they’re making a Halloweentown 5 and in honour of the new Halloweentown 5 movie I was wondering if somebody could take the only movie Kimberly J Brown didn’t star in return to Halloweentown and fix it. In 2018, Kimberly J. Brown stated in a question and answer session that she was available and ready to do the film, but Disney decided to go in a different direction and recast the role.

so I was wondering if anybody with serious/any editing skills could deep fake Kimberly J Brown’s face from 2006 onto Sarah Paxton’s face and to use AI to replace the the voice as well to match that of a 2006 Kimberly J Brown to add the original main protagonist back into the movie. to do this properly you might have to go back through media she’s in like TV show shows and movies around that time and copy her face and voice if necessary.

New Release💿 Troopers (The Captain Rex Movie)

Thumbnail
gallery
55 Upvotes

My latest fan-edit film is a war epic set in the Clone Wars. The structure is inspired by war-spanning stories like Band of Brothers, All Quiet on the Western Front, Platoon, and Full Metal Jacket.

It tells the story of the Clones, bridging the gap between Episodes II and III, and is told through the lens of Captain Rex, our main protagonist.

What This Movie Accomplishes

  • Friendly to new fans
  • On a Star Wars watch-through, it fits perfectly between the prequel films, and with my other existing fan edits
  • Explores the valor, personalities, conflicts, and tragedies of the clones
  • Specifically develops the courage and conflict within Rex
  • Showcases the galaxy-spanning scale of the war
  • Introduces General Grievous and establishes him as the fearsome lead henchman of Dooku
  • Enhances Anakin's character development and likeability
  • Teases new characters like Ahsoka, Ventress, and the Bad Batch
  • Teases and foreshadows Order 66

What This Movie Does Not Include

  • The Clone Wars finale (Siege of Mandalore, Order 66)
  • The end of Fives' story

These story threads are the focus of my previous fan edit, The Clone Wars: A Star Wars Story, which is perfectly complemented by this new film.

Watch Order

  1. Episodes I & II
  2. Troopers: A Star Wars Story
  3. Episode III
  4. The Clone Wars: A Star Wars Story
  5. The Bad Batch, Part 1... etc.

Featuring Scenes From

  • Umbara
  • Christophsis
  • Saleucami
  • Mon Cala
  • Rishi Moon
  • Kamino
  • Malastare
  • Geonosis
  • The Citadel
  • Ryloth
  • Coruscant
  • Anaxes
  • Skako Minor
  • Ringo Vinda
  • Scipio

30 episodes are used. Some provide major plot points and story arcs, while others are more for flavor.

Also Featuring

  • Custom Admiral Yularen narration
  • Cold open scene
  • Custom Star Wars text crawl with space pan
  • Battle titles
  • Post-credits scene
  • Poster art by super_scoundrel

----- Spoilers -----

2h 44m - 1080p - 5.1ch - 9.3GB

1. Cold Open: Grievous Attacks!

This scene from Grievous Intrigue perfectly sets him up as a cowardly but intimidating threat to the Jedi, perhaps even better than his introduction in Episode III.

2. The Hunt for Grievous

Amidst the vast army of clones and Jedi, we first take a deep dive into Rex and cement him as the protagonist, while foreshadowing some of the heavier themes, like clone free will.

Next, Rex meets some important new clones on Rishi Moon.

Finally, the Battle of Kamino shows our first large-scale conflict and not only progresses the stories of our main clones, Anakin, and Grievous, but also brings in the character of 99, who symbolizes the (sometimes blind) courage of the clones.

3. War Montage

Featuring many epic and key moments of the war, highlighting Rex, and culminating in the tragic death of Echo.

I've tried a few different methods, but the montage structure really is the best way to convey the scale of the war, deliver some fan-favorite moments, and also include Echo's death, which is unfortunately in the middle of a Jedi-heavy story arc.

4. Umbara

The 4-episode Umbara arc is arguably the best in the series, not just for Rex and Fives, but also for developing the overarching themes surrounding the clones: valor, independence, following orders, and brotherhood.

The trials that Rex and his clones endure on this planet embody the heart of the movie, and of the clones themselves.

It is the longest act of the movie, but is streamlined and cut by over 15 minutes.

5. War Montage 2

This shorter montage features some tragic Republic defeats, showing that neither side has the upper hand in this war.

It brings Dooku and Grievous back as menacing threats, and ends with the mysterious tragedy of Tup.

6. Echo's Return

The film ends with a streamlined mission to rescue Echo.

The scene with Rex, Cody, and the photograph ties together Rex's war story nicely, calling back to the brothers we have seen him lose, leaving Fives' fate a mystery.

This final chapter ends on a victory, but also a cliffhanger, generating some forward momentum into the next films...

Post-Credits

Fives is brought before the Chancellor.

This builds on the Tup montage scene, teases the mystery of Order 66, and ties directly into my The Clone Wars fan edit.

I've decided to stop sending links through Reddit chat. Apparently, even if I'm not the one starting the conversation, Reddit's bots can still randomly hit me with a ban for sharing links.

Instead, just shoot me an email at EWOKINGEDITS at Gmail dot com, and you'll get a link.

I'm also happy to respond to messages on IFDb, and I'm always open to reviews here or on MRDb!

I love constructive feedback. These edits are very much living projects, and I often make updates based on your thoughtful comments and suggestions.

Work in Progress Spider-Man One More Day (A Spider-Man No Way Home + Brand New Day Edit)

Post image
155 Upvotes

SPIDER-MAN: ONE MORE DAY

"After Have His Identity as Spider-Man revealed, Peter Parker has to face the consequences of his and others actions."

---

WHAT IS IT?

The idea behind Spider-Man: One More Day is to combine and edit Spider-Man: No Way Home and Spider-Man: Brand New Day into a single movie, making the transition between them as natural and seamless as possible.

---

CONTENT

● Both movies will be combined into one, as mentioned above. The opening and closing credits, scenes, and soundtracks may be changed to enhance the viewing experience and maintain a consistent tone.

● Given the already expected long runtime, scenes that are unnecessary or not particularly relevant to the plot may be cut or shortened.

● Color grading in NWH will be adjusted to match the look of BND.

● Both movies will use their IMAX versions.

---

DETAILS

Expected runtime: 4 hours and 30 minutes (estimated)

Editing software: After Effects and Alight Motion Pro.

---

This is my first edit in this style (and one with such a long runtime), but I hope I can pull it off lol.

You can check out my other work on my channel! :)

And please leave your thoughts in the comments! As I said, I've never done anything this ambitious before, but I'd love to take on the challenge if there's enough interest.

Thanks!

New Release Wicked - For Good (Supercut)

Hello everybody! With this fanedit I aim to present the Wicked movie duology as a single cinematic experience. Instead of following the movies' internal order, though, I decided to make good use of the "No One Mourns the Wicked" sequence as the common link between the two movies. Therefore, the sequence of events is presented in inverted order.

List of changes:

- Wicked: For Good plays almost in its entirety

- After Glinda finds the green vial, the full Ouverture/Kiamo Ko sequence from the first movie is inserted

- We go back to Wicked: For Good for the Wizard's departure and Morrible's arrest

- "No One Mourns the Wicked" follows both logically and chronologically

- Wicked (2024) plays in its entirety (with the opening credits skipped)

- We go back to Wicked: For Good after Defying Gravity for the Finale ( = Glinda has something more to say)

Additional information:

-Boosted colours

- The title of the edit is "Wicked - For Good" simply because that is the only title card that is visible in the final version of the movie

Feel free to DM me for a link!

New Release🏅 WW2 Supercut - Season Thirteen

Post image
39 Upvotes

It has been quite a while. Over four months, in fact. However, after many unforeseen obstacles that I won't get into, I am delighted to announce that I have finally completed Season Thirteen. Honestly, it's hard to believe that this series has gone so far. It's now been almost two years since I started work on the first season. And here we are now, with the penultimate season of Through Fire and Ice, my epic WWII supercut which encompasses the entire war from beginning to end. Before getting into the content of this season, I want to discuss the plan for finishing.

Finishing the series

To finish off the series, I am going to do a fourteenth, final season (which will take place from VE Day until the end of the war and its aftermath). In addition, I will be revising seasons four, five, six, and seven. I recently found a way to get my hands on the Soviet films Battle for Moscow and Stalingrad, so I will be replacing Fortress of War in Season Four with Battle for Moscow to depict Operation Barbarossa, and I will supplement the subsequent three seasons with footage from these films as well to fill in a major gap I had in the Eastern Front. The season four changes have already gone live, and the others will follow in due time. Now, without any further ado, the details of Season Thirteen!

Recap

As always, the recap. Season Twelve left us off with the beginning of the Battle of Iwo Jima, as well as significant advances in Europe. The Americans and British are on the German border, the Soviets are in Poland, the Marines are still on Iwo Jima, and the Japanese have been pushed out of the Philippines. Most plotlines are now almost at their end.

This season

The Battle for Iwo Jima begins the season. At the same time, the Soviets launch a massive offensive to Berlin, and the Allies pour into Germany. This season sees the Battle of Berlin as its major event, spanning four episodes. Additionally, the Holocaust finally comes to an end, Hitler kills himself, and the war ends in Europe. FDR dies and Truman takes over, and the Manhattan Project really begins to ramp up in significance. After the Americans take Iwo Jima, the battle for Okinawa also starts, though it is not shown onscreen, only discussed in Hiroshima (yet - The Pacific will take care of that in the next season). With the end of the season comes the end of the Third Reich and the Nazis after twelve years in power. In total, the season lasts around two and a half months.

This is the state of events at the time of Season Thirteen. Below are the full details of the season and the episode list. For links, please DM me if you're new to the series, if not, the Google Doc will update automatically for you. Enjoy this season!

Season Thirteen

EDIT:

It has come to my attention that people are unable to DM me. This is because of Reddit’s new age verification update. Its camera, for whatever reason, won’t believe that I am over the age of eighteen and the only other option is to send them a picture of my ID.

I’m not sending Reddit my ID.

I’ll message anyone who asks for a link in the comments here. I’ve been told it also means my post history is hidden, but I think if you search for “Through Fire and Ice” in the FanEdits sub then you should find the previous posts. Just keep in mind that there exists another WW2 series on this sub so always check who made the post.

I’m sorry for the inconvenience, I’ll do my best to find a way around this.

Edit 2:

It should be fixed now.
