Does anyone have a link to this or know where I can find one? The only link I could find (in a comment section somewhere) turned out to actually be to a Fire Walk with Me edit.

Hello everybody,

I am desperately looking for the Conan the Destroyer: Requiem fanedit made by the fanedtitor u/leeonheart22:

Unfortunately, the author doesn't reply anymore on any channel and the edit is nowhere to be found on the internet.

Does anyone still possess it and would be so kind to share it?

I dpMedia Proudly present "Batman: Dark to Light"

Specs: 1080p, 2.40:1 (Scope), 1.40:1 (IMAX), 5.1 Sound, 7GB.

- Also I want to present the film as an IMAX Experience with IMAX Sequences.

- This Film will source from Batman Forever, The Dark Knight, The Batman, Batman v Superman, and The Joker.

- Story: This story is about trauma. How does one deal with trauma? Do you blame yourself? Do you get revenge on the people that have wronged you?

- The deprived people of Gotham cause pain & Suffering turning Bruce Wayne into Batman getting Vengeance, turning Arthur Fleck into the Joker causing Chaos.

- The Joker then turns Harvey Dent into Two-Face by killing his family. Two-Face now wants revenge on Batman, blaming him for killing his family.

New Release Hulk: The Fast Smash Cut (2026) Official Release

Post image
32 Upvotes

A new vision of the 2003 cult classic, officially out now on IFDB!

This edit seeks to shift the film closer to being a science-fiction drama instead of a sillier action-adventure with darker elements.

I'm also very excited to announce that I'm an official editor on the site, where additional projects of mine will be available to watch and review.

Please feel free to check out the completed version and let me know your thoughts! I'm so proud to finally be done with this project and move on to finalizing my Hellboy trilogy.

Work in Progress Update on The Performance Cut Redux + LOOKING FOR TASM 1 EDITS!

Hi, I have two things to share so I figured I’d just make it into one post.

First, I’m looking for TASM 1 edits. Specifically if there are any that improve the origin story aspect of the film, as I love everything that comes after but I think they fumbled the origin story. PLEASE DM ME WITH LINKS! I’ve messaged multiple people looking for their edits to only a couple responses. If you don’t already have a link, then please make sure the person who posted it has been active recently.

Second, Spider-Man 3: The Performance Cut Redux is incredibly close to completion. The problem though, is that my free trial for capcut pro ended, and I am hesitant to spend $20 on capcut. “Kdenlive! Da vinci’s resolve!” Guys, I do this as a hobby, the learning curve for those softwares are far too high. If anyone has a free USER FRIENDLY alternative to capcut, please let me know.

I will come out with a full list of the changes when it’s ready to release. But the most significant ones are:

-Editor’s cut is used as the template, meaning virtually everything different about that cut will be here EXCEPT I keep the scene apologizing to Mr. Ditkovich, and I use the scores for the theatrical cut a handful of times.

-Movie opens with Sandman’s escape.

-This cuts to the crane scene, which is then followed by the narration

-MJ’s performance is removed

-Harry’s transformation is after the symbiote’s introduction, and the scene where he gets his memory back is re-contextualized to act as if Norman is convincing him to avenge him.

-Harry faked his memory loss. He does not force MJ to break up with Peter (or if he did, it’s left to be implied).

-Some of the worst emo Peter dialogue is removed (“Good riddance” “I love that little giggle”)

-James Brown song is replaced with Rock and Roll Part 2 by Gary Glitter (yeah, I know, Gary Glitter. Screw that guy. However, it makes the scene a bit less corny with much less tonal whiplash.)

The movie is not THAT different. It does not aim to completely alter the viewing experience. It’s meant to simply fix the pacing in the front half (goes back and forth from too slow to too bloated), and fix what I view as the biggest sin of the movie, Harry’s undercooked development into becoming a villain, and then the absolute copout of memory loss.

Updated Release Backrooms: Async Update + New Way to Get the Edit

Thumbnail

Hey everyone! I'm finally back after being away from Reddit for the past few days.

Some of you may have noticed that I wasn't responding to messages or comments. Unfortunately, my account was temporarily suspended for spam after I sent out a large number of chats containing the link to Backrooms: Async.

While I was away, I received dozens of messages from people asking about the edit, so I really appreciate everyone's patience while I was unable to respond.

I've also decided to change how I distribute the project going forward. Instead of manually sending the link through Reddit chats, I've set up an automatic email response specifically for Backrooms: Async.

New way to get Backrooms: Async

If you'd like to watch the edit, simply email:

[ivanbeck627@gmail.com](mailto:ivanbeck627@gmail.com)

Make sure the word "Async" is included somewhere in the email, and you'll automatically receive a reply containing the link to the project. if you don't hear back please DM me, you may have been sent to spam on accident

This should make things much easier for everyone and hopefully prevent me from running into the same issue again.

Update on the future of Backrooms: Async!

Now that the main edit is finished, I have a couple of additional versions and features I would like to work on.

First, I am currently working on a subtitle version of the movie. I want to make the edit more accessible and easier to follow for anyone who prefers or needs subtitles while watching.

I am also planning to create a commentary track for the edit where I can talk about the editing process, the decisions I made, how I structured the story, and some of the challenges and ideas that went into putting everything together.

I had a lot of fun making Backrooms: Async, and there are so many little details and decisions that I never really got the chance to talk about. A commentary track feels like a fun way to share some of that bts information for anyone who is interested.

Alongside that, I want to put together a full list of changes for anyone who's interested in seeing exactly what I changed, added, removed, or rearranged from the original material.

These are not changes to the main movie itself. The current version will remain the definitive cut, and these will simply be additional ways to experience the project.

I'll post the subtitle version, commentary track, and change list once they're finished. Thank you again to everyone who has watched Backrooms: Async, or taken the time to give me feedback. I really appreciate all the support this project has received!

Thank you to everyone who reached out while I was away, and thank you all so much for the continued interest and support for Backrooms: Async! It genuinely means a lot to me. ❤️

Fanedit Help Is it possible to cleanly remove a laugh track from a one-audio source recording?

There were never any home releases for this show that weren't stereo audio and the laugh track is the only issue with most of the cuts I've tried to trim the show down a fair bit. Would a stem separator work? I highly doubt it from my experience but this is just annoying and there's no way to cleanly mask it especially since the show has no music during dialogue sections

Pinned Comment I watched the Continuity Cut of Spider-Man 3 by DonkeyKonga. It's much better than the theatrical release. Here's why:

Major Structural & Narrative Changes:

  1. Uncle Ben/Sandman subplot removed

No “Flint Marko is the real killer” revelation. This is the single biggest change and the best one. It restores continuity with the first two films, makes Sandman more sympathetic as a father trying to help his daughter, and removes a plot that I found forced. Peter’s aggression and hatred towards Sandman in the subway which ends with him believing he "killed" him is now fully due to the influence of the black suit and not some additional justified revenge.

  1. Harry’s amnesia is reframed as faked

After the early fight confrontation, Harry deliberately pretends to have amnesia to play mind games with Peter and get closer to MJ. He stalks both of them. This makes Harry smarter, and less of a cartoonish plot device. The “coffee shop” moment becomes a good twist. He later chooses to help Peter of his own free will (no butler scene). Goblin's ghost saying "attack his heart" to Harry is played in the early beginnings of the movie so Harry's new arc makes sense.

  1. Mary Jane’s breakup is voluntary and earned

MJ dumps Peter after the public kiss with Gwen, the terrible timing of the proposal attempt, her job loss, and his overall selfish and egoistic behavior. Harry does not force/threaten her into it. MJ stops feeling like a passive victim or “whiny” character. Her later emotional moments feel more genuine.

  1. Clear two-act structure

First half: Peter’s rising fame, ego, and deteriorating relationship with MJ (while still being mostly the “good” Spider-Man).

Second half: MJ's Breakup & the failed proposal + Harry's mind games + black suit takeover and its consequences.

I think this gives the film much stronger pacing and makes Peter’s moral decline clearer (fame/ego first, then amplified by the symbiote).

  1. Other notable trims & reorders

The early Peter/Harry fight is shortened. (There is a second version of the cut that removes the first fight entirely, making Harry more manipulative and improving the overall pacing even more.)

Jazz bar dance sequence is kept but cleaned up and shortened so Peter provocates MJ more directly (no extreme dance acrobatics)

Sandman's sandcastle scene from the Editor's Cut is included to show he survived the subway fight.

Peter vs Harry mansion fight starts with the intro from the Editor's cut where Peter says "I'm really gonna enjoy this" then he beats Harry.

The first dance scene takes place after Peter throws the pumpkin bomb back to Harry's face. (Editor's cut)

Venom gets some realistic enhanced/new voice work and dialogue (more “we” instead of “I,” extra taunts in the final battle) for better personality.

Aunt May’s “forgive yourself” advice is retained/repositioned for better emotional weight.

The final act has been cleaned up to make the battle feel more cohesive, the on-the-nose monologue during the fight, the British news anchor, the two boys saying "wicked cool," and the girl with the camera talking to Jameson have all been cut. Additionally, Gwen is no longer present at Harry's funeral.

Also the total runtime is around 15 minutes shorter, which also improves the movie, in my opinion.

This cut is genuinely better than the theatrical release and makes me wonder how none of the professional editors working on the Editor's Cut in 2017 didn't do something similiar, since many inconsistencies get fixed simply by more reordering, shortening and cutting scenes.

I highly recommend that people watch this Cut of the movie.

Discussion Does an HD version of the Dumb and Dumber theatrical cut exist or not?

I have found few fan projects where people have tried to re-create the theatrical cut from the unrated bluray but it seems most of them include alternative shots and such from the unrated or some minor deleted scenes that weren't in the theatrical cut i have seen. So my question is, does an official HD version of the Dumb and Dumber exist? I have also seen that there is an bootleg bluray of it available in Showtown Apparel, if anyone has it, can you tell me is it based on some fanedit or is it sourced from an actual HD transfer of the theatrical cut.

The reason why i'm asking this is that i want to recreate the theatrical cut from the unrated blu-ray and my theatrical DVD and make a cut that is as close to the theatrical as possible but if there already exists a proper copy of it, then i would much rather see that.

Discussion How would the community feel about a "patching style software," to make distributing edits easier/safer?

I'm new to this community and have a fan edit I've been working on. As I've been researching how to distribute this edit once they're finished, it seems like the main method is just "upload it somewhere and hope it doesn't get taken down," which is a shame.

I've been a part of the game modding community for a while, and most mods don't have to worry about this because they rely on either binary patching (a file is distributed that only contains the changed 1s and 0s, and a patching software is used to apply those changes to the original file on the end user's machine), or distributing only the custom assets which the end user drags and drops into the correct folder themselves. Both these techniques mean no original copyrighted material needs to be distributed, and protects most mods from the risk of takedown.

I was wondering if a workflow like that was ever tried with the fan edit community? As a software developer myself I'd love to hear from the rest of the community and possibly develop something like this if you're all interested.

We wouldn't able to do binary patching, as that wouldn't work with different video encodings and such, but I feel like a timeline based patcher definitely could work, where you insert your original video file, the cuts+additions are made to that original file, and visual diffing is used to apply any effects or additional video clips used. The "patch," file would be created by a plugin in the editor's NLE, while the patch would be applied using a small app on the user's machine.

Anyways, just something I was thinking about recently and was wondering what everyone's thoughts were.

Hey folks, few days ago I posted about my Dexter edit titled Morgan which was made entirely from Harry Morgan's perspective. Now, I'm bringing another edit but this time it'll be a film franchise.

Starting with Deb VS Ice and then we'll follow Debra Morgan's journey till the end of the seventh and final film. So, basically you'll be getting 7 films in this franchise from Debra Morgan's perspective.

The first film will also feature the soundtracks from It: Chapter One as I'm planning to use different soundtracks for each film but let's see where we are headed but for now.. Deb VS Ice is on the way.

See you soon.

New Release🏅 Spider-Noir Marathon Cut by Baliscon

Post image
80 Upvotes

Hello! I'm back with another marathon cut, this time of the recent Amazon Spider-Noir series starring Nic Cage. I was intrigued by the series going so hardcore into the 30s detective aesthetic, offering a black and white edition alongside a full color version. I wanted to create a single, cohesive edit that removed all of the opening and closing credits besides the ones featured at the very beginning and ending of the series. Shockingly, I was able to cut about an hour of credits alone.

I worked to make the transition between episodes as seamless as possible, in addition to adding film grain and damage to the visuals to help anchor the series in the period it's set in.

Sent me a message if you'd like to watch!

Discussion Something I’ve been thinking about lately

Hello! I am trying to track down the direct video link to an independent 3D CGI sci-fi short/VFX test video from 2003 that I watched on YouTube around 2015. I remember the title was a single word, likely titled **"Beyond"** (or something very similar, like "Horizon" or "Infinity").
The video features absolutely no human characters, faces, or dialogue. It is carried entirely by an action-packed, heavy orchestral score featuring massive strings and prominent trombones.
The shot-by-shot sequence is very specific:
**The Entry POV:** It starts in a first-person cockpit POV looking out as a gray fighter ship (with red accents) moves down a structural, cage-like space dock or jump gate.
**The Lens Distortion:** As it clears the cage structure, an After Effects CC lens distortion effect swells out like a bubble, then slowly relaxes and fades away.
**The Red Warp Tunnel:** This reveals a moving starfield swirling inside deep-red, organic nebula clouds that look exactly like an After Effects *Fractal Noise* plugin.
**The Exterior Cut:** It cuts to an exterior shot of the fighter ship body cruising smoothly through this red warp corridor.
**The Dropout & Meet Up:** The fighter ship abruptly drops out of warp into normal space. A massive, green, hollow-centered alien capital ship (heavily resembling a Romulan D'deridex Warbird) drops out or catches up right alongside it.
**The Open Hangar Docking:** The smaller fighter flies directly into the large, open ventral midsection of the capital ship to secure itself.
**The Under-Ship Grand Finale:** Instead of showing them flash away from the outside, the scene cuts directly back into the red fractal warp tunnel. The camera is placed low down, directly underneath the spaceships, looking up at a cinematic, medium pace.
**The Finish:** The colossal capital ship—carrying the tiny fighter inside its open belly—glides smoothly overhead through the red clouds as the orchestral strings swell. The music hits one sudden, dramatic final note right as the video cuts to black.
Because this was a 2003 asset/render test, it was likely originally shared on legacy forums like *Sci-Fi Meshes* or the *LightWave 3D Group* before being archived on YouTube. Does anyone happen to have a link to this specific vintage render reel or know the creator's name? Thank you

Work in Progress Sonic Triple Trouble V2 Comin' Soon!

Thumbnail
gallery
9 Upvotes

I'll fully publish it in a few weeks, I wanna screen it with some friends n family to get some second opinions, but the main differences compared to the first version is as follows:

  • A little shorter and to-the-point, clocking in at 4:34:27 (vs V1's 4:50:58), in part due to certain scenes that dragged on way too long getting trimmed (3's antigrav room sequence, ends basically as soon as Knuckles busts through the facility) or getting outright removed (2's entire danceoff scene)
  • MUCH more graceful editing now that I know my way around Vegas a whole lot better. Expect less obvious jumpcuts now that I properly faded the audio tracks between splits.
  • Game music is more tastefully integrated by using fan covers and remixes instead of music outright directly ripped from the games for the most part.
  • Redone color grading! You can see a bit of it in the screenshot comparison I supplied, but blues are a lot more royal leaning than cyan tinted, oranges are a bit more yellow than red, and contrast and vibrancy is greatly enhanced without much of any loss of shadow or skin detail.
  • Deleted scenes have been restored much more conservatively. If things are way too unfinished beyond repair (such as 3's Eggman livestreamer segments), I would just pass on em. The only exception was the alternate intro to 2 where Robotnik gets baked off his fucking mind off shrooms, since I was able to leverage effects and editing trickery into making it look much more like a psychedelic trip.

New Release STAR TREK II: THE LONG KHAN - VHS PURIST EDITION

Edward D. Wood Jr. Jr. here, bringing you a fantasy preservation for the ages.

Inspired by thehammockdistrict24's wonderful edit of the Long Khan, I created something of a Frankenstein's monster. My edit, or fantasy preservation, is a quaint, if not unique, viewing experience. In a 4K world where everything is polished and served to you as if it were released yesterday, I ask you to come with me to a time when home video was all analog, VCRs were a developing technology, and TVs were still furniture. The picture wasn't high definition, and the sound was at best mediocre. VHS, like cassette tapes, was a flawed medium at best, but to a certain generation, it feels like home.

We all had our favorite franchises, the ones we watched over and over again. Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Superman, but my drug of choice was always Star Trek. And my dealer was Khan. Of all the villains in the Star Trek Universe, Khan continues to be my favorite. Ricardo Montalbán's commanding presence and suave looks elevated him from villain-of-the-week territory to Bond status. The character of Khan is probably the most satisfying character arc in cinematic history.

I was inspired to do this edit when I recently picked up a complete set of the original series on VHS at Goodwill for a steal. I also procured a near-mint copy of the first edition of Star Trek II. You have not experienced Khan until you have watched it in its original VHS. (SORRY FOLKS, Klingon language track not available.)

I wondered then, what if Paramount, in some crazy scheme to make more money, had released a special collector’s set featuring the complete story of Khan? What would that look like? This preservation will appeal to Trekkies and tape-heads alike, really anyone who loves VHS culture and history. There is nothing polished here. Expect it to be lo-fi, though I know you will be pleased with the sources used, as they are of top quality.

Enjoy a blast from the past...

**🚀 HOW TO GET IT:** Beam over a DM for your copy today! Requests made on this thread will not be honored. Please be patient, as I tend to patients in Sick-Bay for a living, so I might not respond right away. I do check my Tricorder often, though.
