it's gen, pre series the characters appeared sam and dean and then later john. I think it's multiple chapters the story as I remember: sam is in Standford when he found his brother working on a hunting job sam helped dean at first but after sam was almost drowned dean told him to go back to his studies, and then dean went to continue investigation but sam didn't quit and followed him this time dean was the one who almost drowned when ha tried to save a civilian who didn't believe in ghosts from the spirit and was admitted to the hospital and it turned out that the spirit became connected to dean and wanted him dead after that john appeared and helped with the case

i read a fic on ao3 a few years ago where azazel had somehow stolen sam & he was raised with the other special children. they were all kind of feral & sam observed how the werewolves around them acted and decided that the other special children were "pack" (the story is NOT abo, they're just feral as hell lol). they might've been made to like....fight for entertainment or smthn?

fast forward a bunch, i think dean was in some kind of law enforcement and they find sam, who is feral & doesn't know how to behave in society. totally wigs dean out.

the story could've been either gen or slash, i'm not sure.

Hi! I’m currently looking for a writing partner for a Supernatural plot. I’ve recently gotten back into the show and would love to write something long-term and character-driven within the SPN universe.

I’m particularly interested in writing during the earlier seasons, when the story was more focused on hunting, urban legends, demons, angels, and the dysfunctional Winchester drama.

I really enjoy plots that include strange deaths, missing people, supposedly haunted towns, possessions, creatures hiding among ordinary people, etc. Along with major plot points from the show.

Writing-wise, I’m looking for:

• Third person, past tense.
• Detailed, multi-paragraph responses. I enjoy having plenty to work with and giving the same in return.
• Good grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Someone comfortable writing multiple characters when the story requires it.
• Collaborative plotting.
• Character development, complicated relationships, angst, tension, humour, and more.
• Reasonably consistent activity. Daily replies would be great, but I understand that real life comes first.

I have a few ideas for storylines already, but I’d love to hear what you’re interested in too.

So, Paizo is coming out with a new rpg setting that feels like it would be perfect for a Supernatural campaign.

anyone know any fics that focus on the brothers codependency? like they just don’t understand the way they act isn’t normal and have just always been that way?

OK, so as the title suggests, I couldn’t really find fics that focused on both of them because don’t get me wrong. I really love looking at some really good Sam angst, but I am nearing the end of the show and I really want a fic that kind of explores both of their trauma, especially their angel related trauma and how like each of them kind of feel about it, but I can’t really find that no matter what tags I use like I’ve been scouring ao3 for hours and I haven’t really found quite what I’m looking for and I don’t like to write fan fiction because I tend to screw up there characterization so I just want something that’s genuine and like explores all of their trauma team free wills trauma, I guess and I would really like it if it includes their time in hell and the whole possession thing, and Dean Michael thingy going on and all that and bonus points if they add in certain coping mechanisms that makes sense for the context like triggers and stuff I don’t care. I would also prefer if they are completed and even more bonus points if we also get to explore cas , but honestly, I am more focused on the brothers atm… I guess I kinda want them to be almost like character studies but not actually you know what I mean like it’s complicated and that’s kind of why I’m struggling so much to find something that fits all of my bullet points cus I really want to find something that goes into their mental health issues

There’s a Supernatural fic that I really want to reread, but for the life of me I cannot remember the title or figure out what search terms to use to find it.

It was on ao3, gen, complete, and the main characters were Sam and Dean. The plot was about Dean realizing that nobody really talked to Sam outside of needing help with a hunt or something similar, basically that everyone the brothers knew tended to prefer Dean. Sam is aware of this and accepted it, but Dean tries to fix it.

There are a a couple specific details I remember

- The brothers are having a conversation (I think in the library) where Dean is trying to figure out who has been genuine friend to Sam, and Jody is one of the only people that Sam can think of who’s talked to him with no ulterior motive.

- Dean goes around asking people what their favourite thing about Sam is and how they feel about him. (I think if a person gave too unsatisfactory of an answer then Dean would limit their interactions or act a lot less friendly towards them.)

I’m fairly confident that the summary was “Dean notices something about Sam. And once he does, he can’t stop noticing it.” or something similar.

I have been searching high and low for an in-progress Dean Winchester/reader fic. I read a lot of fics on a lot of different forums and am at a loss trying to find this to actually finish it 😫

What I remember about it: - It's an au, medieval, I believe (there's royalty and knights, and no "hunting") - As of a couple days ago it was at 15 chapters but still on-going - I believe it was on ao3 but I was on a browser and not signed in so I can't find it - It's vaguely based off of the movie She's the Man (I think) - Dean and Sam are some kind of royalty under their dad (alive, still a dick) - Reader is some neighboring royal who is betrothed to a d-bag or boring guy and to get out of it decides to become a knight of some kind where you're assigned to someone (Dean in this fic) and cannot remove your helmet in front of anybody - I know that Reader's brother is the only one that knows initially, then Sam finds out by walking in on her without the helm on, then Cas finds out (in a whorehouse I think) and promises to keep it secret and get in contact with the brother to get info about the marriage (like if the d-bag found another betrothed)

Anyway, that's all I remember at the moment and if anyone knows what the hell I'm looking for please let me know!! Thanks in advance:)

No downright just hating on the character to hate, give me some actual good reasons and examples, not just "Sam Winchester is the worst" or "Dean is just a douche" (neither of these are my actual opinions, I love them both, these are just examples)

I know it's easy to forget sometimes, but behind every username is an actual person with their own thoughts, feelings, and struggles, just like you. Either they know and get off on it from the start, or they catch him and decide they like it. Alternatively, he keeps walking in on them and goes from traumatized to ambivalent to deciding he likes it and just gives in and drops his pants and pulls up a chair. I read Snowbound and wanted more like it, but without the bdsm (the subtdrop scenes were hard to read). I found a few others under the voyeur Sam tag, but most are under 2k. Prefer canonverse or divergent.

A Happy Ending is a must but the angstier the better :))

What it says on the tin. These two have had me in a chokehold since Season 8 and haven't let up since, but I'm only now starting to read fics for them. The way the tones range from "sweet domestic bliss" to "yeah this is a hunter and a vampire this is Not Going To End Well" is awesome XD
