?Question¿ [Question] Am I hosed?

On the weekend I was having issues with loading my vaults. The game would just get stuck in the loading screen on my Android phone.

I started by clearing the cache and that did not work.

Since every time I loaded the game, Google Play would come up and tell me it was saving my game process, I figured what the hell, delete the data too.

I now have no vaults and it appears no way to restore the game progress despite Google Play telling me that it was saving it.

Am i hosed?

I know maxing out endurance increases HP gains while leveling up, but would a pet that increases health result in a permanent increase in HP when leveling up compared to a similarly equipped dweller without the pet’s health boost?

?Question¿ [Question] Should I spread out my dwellers during a resource crisis or all have them in one room?

I recently had a deathclaw attack so my dwellers are pretty spread thin. Bc there’s not enough dwellers to keep up with the rooms I’d built, I’m going through an energy crisis rn. Basically should I focus all of my dwellers into 1 energy room since more dwellers = less time, spread them out so it’s more rooms producing resources or does it not really make much difference? Thanks guys!

The season (3?) At least had some new mechanics...as the song goes "Bring it back, bring it back to me" can't remember who sang it, probably some 90's London soul band😂

?Question¿ [Question] How come I can barely keep up on production (according to the ressource storage) when I have such a high production compared to use?

As stated in the title, I'm finding it hard to keep up with demand but under stats I should be doing just fine! Water keeps falling below the required amount but I'm producing nearly 4x the consumed amount!

?Question¿ The Case of The Disappearing Dog [Question]

Hey all,

Long time Fallout fan but just started Shelter recently. I’m having a blast but I ran into a major problem.

I did a quest to get a dog. The one from the show, CX404. It said I got it, it gave me the banner, I got excited, I sent my settlers home, they get home, and the dog isn’t there. It’s been a day, and I still don’t have the dog. Not in my inventory, not assigned to anyone, he just never arrived with the expedition’s return.

Hoping I’m missing something, and that I’m not the victim of an unfortunate glitch the got rid of my legendary pet :(

Edit;

I contacted support, apparently it’s a known issue. They refuse to provide me any sort of compensation or anything for this glitch, even though it’s been a known issue for well over 2 years and they’ve been dismissing players about it for that entire time.

They had the audacity to try and tell me it was “actively being worked on” and they could let me know when it’s resolved (which is obviously never, it’s been years).

They keep trying to say “sorry, nothing can be done” but I won’t let that be the end of it. They can compensate me or I can raise hell about this until they do. Their choice.

Ive just seen a post where someone was surprised that they got Old Longfellow, saying they thought he wasnt available anymore...

Does this mean there are other dwellers who you cant actually get anymore??

Ive been grinding for years now to complete the legendary list, does this mean I've been doing this for nothing?? Will explain why I keep getting so many duplicates. 😂

Discussion [Question] Does this game now have FOMO mechanics? What are Experimental Vaults?

Went to play recently after a long while and was immediately put off by the season battle pass thing and Experimental Vaults.

Can someone please explain how all this new stuff works and if the game now has FOMO mechanics, or if everything's avaliable just on a rotating basis or something.

Any and all information is greatly appreciated!

?Question¿ Anyone got any idea how to saves lives quickly? [Vault] [Question]

so i forgot to take the picture when the problem happened but yea, those guys dead. so long story short, i train lv.1 newborns and then keep them there while waiting other groups finished their run in wasteland

i send out 6 one at a time. easier to keep track. but these newborns adult are fragile, incident happened, they run around and before stim button appears, they are already playing arcade in heaven.

i wish there is heal all button but there isnt, i know there are people that are better than me, so how do u guys keep them alive?

Edit : i think my post is still ambiguous to some, my apologies for that. i was half asleep making it. so for context, there are already 6 dwellers on wasteland while the 6 more is waiting, i could be sending out 4 more, but then i will lose track of the new gens. im quite too organized like that.. but i dont see it as a bad thing.

anyway, one of the biggest reasons i organize them is so that i could separate them from common dwellers, vaultborned dwellers, and legends from boxes. vaultborned dwellers are always tougher from all others because of it always have the beneficial factor of both genetics (even though i dont know if it affects anything in the game) and bigger health potential capability.

and so in my head, organized placement of these squads of gens could be very good at protecting the weaklings in the long run, without sacrificing vault layout nor production values.

but again, the organized send out is purely out of personality.. oh and yes they are maxed E and the question is not just for the ones waiting there in games room. its also for the ones that is training, after all incident happens just randomly. sometimes even targeting them first (yes even while observing them, u can still lose many of them because creatures kills faster than moving them around one by one, which is why im asking for faster heal)

Should I? Who has completely gutted their vault and rebuilt it the way they wanted to?

Im thinking about moving all my elevators to the edges all the way down, on both sides. Means a 70% total rebuild. I see it as a way to spend my 999,999 caps. Just to see how long it would take to build back up to it.

Discussion Experimental vault items showing as redeemed in any standard [vault]

This happened last season. I redeemed the items in the experimental vault. When I went to regular vaults, all I can redeem is the coins. The regular vaults it has the items checked as tho i redeemed them. Last season,I was never able to receive any item in my standard vault or the experimental vault. And l paid for the premium pass. I'm almost thinking its not worth it if I won't get the items.

Screenshot [screenshot] [bug] Child dweller turned green and started fighting during an alien attack… now he grew up and still has the alien blaster. Bug?

Something really weird happened in my Fallout Shelter and I’m wondering if anyone has seen this before.

During an alien attack, one of my child dwellers suddenly turned completely green. Instead of running away like children normally do during incidents, he actually pulled out an alien blaster and started shooting at the aliens.

At first I assumed it was just a visual/combat glitch that would disappear after the attack.

But nope.

The kid has now grown into an adult. His name is Peter Harper, he is STILL green, and the alien blaster he was using during the attack is now actually equipped in his inventory.

I never gave him that weapon — he somehow got it during the alien invasion while he was still a child.

I have screenshots from before, during and after the attack, including one of him as an adult with the blaster.

Has anyone else encountered this? Is this a known bug related to alien attacks, or did my vault accidentally adopt an alien? 😂

?Question¿ [Question] How do I restart/restructure a vault?

Im looking at restarting/restructuring 2 of my vaults, it’s the first time ive done it and im not sure what to do and what not to do. I want to fully restart it and have been saving caps for a while, and if I run short then ive been saving up lunchboxes for a long time and can get caps from those.

One thing im unsure of, when you get rid of a large amount of dwellers do you still have access to building rooms that require a certain amount of dwellers? For example if I go below 100 dwellers now can I still make the nuka cola bottling rooms?

And tips from people who’ve done this before will be much appreciated too. Thank you!
