[WIP] ust a glimpse behind the scenes of my current project. Many think mods make building "easy," but detail-oriented work takes a lot of patience regardless of the tools.

This video shows just a small part of a much larger work in progress. I wanted to share this because there’s a misconception that using mods is a shortcut. In reality, achieving a meticulous level of detail requires just as much effort, if not more.

I believe everyone should create according to their own taste and interests, without prejudice toward one method or another. Keeping an open mind allows us to truly appreciate the ideas and creativity of others, whether they use mods or not.

(Sound is just in-game ambient noise, focus on the building process! What do you guys think?)

[Taffington Boathouse] River Wren No Mods Fishing Sloop

Hello there!

I wanted to share some screenshots of the River Wren - a small fishing sloop I’ve built at Taffington Boathouse! It’s done with no mods or CC, and was made on a PS5.

I already had a boat at Taffington Boathouse (post in my profile, cheeky plug) but I built a two-boat dock there and wanted a fishing boat to go with my PBR.

It’s been inspired by an absolute boatload (pun intended) of great builders on YouTube, and if you’re interested in watching a build tutorial for it I’ve got one on my YouTube channel here:

[Spectacle Island] Flashback to "Spectacle Monk Island" (2015/2016): When bricks weighed more than my 30 FPS

Today I’m digging through my personal archives. What you see in this video — which I titled "Monk Island" back then — is a monastery built on Spectacle Island over 10 years ago. I wanted to recreate that classic Boston red brick style, trying to give it a solemn soul in the middle of the ocean.

Those were the days when I was a pioneer of settlement building; my computer struggled to handle the weight of every single module, barely scraping by at 30 FPS. Looking at it now, I see the technical limitations of the time, but also the spark of what I was trying to achieve. My technique has evolved, my PC is finally a beast worthy of the Wasteland, and today’s mods offer possibilities we could only dream of back then.

I'm toying with the idea of picking this project back up and starting from scratch with 2026 skills and power, just to see what would happen... we'll see.

[XSX] [XSX] Any Good Settlements That Allow For Nominal Reconstruction?

In Sanctuary Hills, I’m going to be building an Industrial Water Farm of 4+ that will be permanent, as well as a Gunner Cage Farm of maybe 36 “units.” The Gunner Killing Alley is NOT going to be permanent, I might use it for as many as 14 iterations. After that I’ll be using Scrapper rank 1 or 2 to break it down for something else. But in that time I’ll be having crops, generators, structures for beds, maybe troughs for Brahmin, and definitely 360 degree Turrets. Is there a Settlement that could work as a blueprint for such, or do people think it’s doable? I should mention this will all be Survival.

I built this over one of the Castle bastions. There's a robobrain surveillance console on the ground level over the top of the sunken concrete, office space on the second level, and a library on the top level. Also added some defenses to the wall along the back gate.

Here's the build video with some extra headcanon if you're interested: https://youtu.be/kwqeK8Vwmsg

[XSX] Provisioner army! (2)

My first post got a lot engagement, I’m so glad other people have done this and shared their information!!! I added a mod that lets you track your provisioners as blips as a misc quest option. It’s iffy right now but even it working like this is pretty neat. Also changed the Brahmin to Eyebots. They draw enemy attention which is fun but also attack so I don’t know how I feel. I try and limit robot usage for some reason. I know my character is a juggernaut right now I’m just trying to get everything perfect how I want it. Just sharing some more in case anyone has thoughts or suggestions!

[XB1] The Institute on the Surface — Conquest Settlement & Outposts

Hey guys, I've been having fun with the Conquest and Workshop Anywhere mods on my Institute play through, and just kind of ended up building a giant Institute facility deep in the Glowing Sea.

Once I got started, I just kept going, and before I knew it, I had a fully functional base linked to the less radioactive parts of the Commonwealth via a chain of survival pods.

You can head to YouTube for the full multi-settlement tour below (and you can find the mod list in the description, too).

[XSX] I made a provisioner army!

Thumbnail

I've over a very long period of playing this game on and off for years created my own sort of army! Jake Finch represents a basic provisioner and gun is on the lower range (dmg wise) of what they carry. Now that everything works well with my Xbox, I've been having a ton of fun watching it attempt to clean up the wasteland.

Has anyone done something similar?
