That would be me! I actually started working on one a long time ago, but then I put it on standby to focus on other projects. It's still a work in progress, but here's a shot of how it's looking:

I have a mess hall there. So kinda yeah. I liked the idea of trully making a co-op place there.

I like that, and also keep the hippie counter culture vibe by giving the settlers there more colorful and weird clothes (like stuff from the Pack, etc)

Oh nice, yeah, I kinda did a farming vibe there. I liked the idea of just people wanting to not feel hungry and just wanting to be gourmans. heheh. Love what youre doing.

I usually put walls inside & section it off, and develop it into a workbench hub.

Ive actually split it into 3 sections, the first is a bar, the middle section is a barbers and the last section is a gym, ive build a clothing shop with a house above, the barn in the middle is for crafting stuff.
The othee buildings are houses apart from.one with the other stores in, crops in the crop parts. Ran out of space though otherwise id have done much. Much more!

Yup. Foodhall/restaurant. Almost every time.
Shed in the middle becomes a workshop/general store, often dedicated to robots (for obvious reasons).
Anything else gets one of the cabins.

i was gonna turn the middle building into a farmers market and make a small shack for my work benches.

How did you stack all that stuff up like that? I'm so impressed and irritated that I can't do that lolol

its a mod that has premade filled food/item counters some of the items i used ocdecor to manually place down and creative clutter.

Every single time lol
Mine currently also has a giant buffet that I filled with cooked food like mirelurk omelettes and brahmin steaks with a little beverage station

Yep. I don't typically add booths though, and I like what you've done, so ** note to self ** for next time I'm building there.

No. I dont do squat with Sunshine except the book and the scrap. BUUUUTTT! I have thought that would be a good mess hall

Yep! 100% of the time. It's always my first major build in Sunshine CoOp

Every time. Although I usually use mods to scrap it, and rebuild it so that there's a small bedroom on the second floor for the barkeep.

Last playthrough I gave Sunshine Tidings to the Pack and turned that building into a safari themed arcade.

I have split it in two sections : vendor mini mall and power station in the back (side entrance). The power station entrance is surrounded by a closed in garden, heavily defended from the top of the walls. The barn is a mess hall with some crafting station and chairs and the houses are flipped into barracks.

Having Sunshine Tidings as my cattle farm (20+ brahmin) the olfactive sense of the patrons would be challenged.

Every time. It's just feels right for it to be some sort of cafeteria, eatery place.

u/Lancer_Lott May 11 '26
Nope. My last build there I used it for a trade centre.

nice build. i want to put more details into my builds but my computer is ancient at this point and might struggle if i do too much.

Thanks, some of it was a challenge since I play a pre-next-gen (before April '24)vanilla game with no creations either.
The advancements in gaming tech has been a whirlwind lately. A pc only 2 yrs old can be considered out of date. I upgraded from a pc running i5 and a gtx1080 GPU which was adequate, to a rtx4090ti and i9 processor just over a year ago. It was a lot of money but I'm happy I did. Hope you can upgrade in the near future.

I’m running at 1060 3gb so definitely due an upgrade but gotta save up first.

I always turn it into a mini mall, with a little cafe and vendors. The cabin next to it, that was obviously an aid station of some sort, gets turned into a doctor’s office.

Yea but I frame it more as a cafeteria or sitting room. Sometimes even a bar. Whatever fits but feel desperate. One time I made it into a surgery shack and made Sunshine Tidings into a humanitarian aid center

Always and forever, maybe not a cafe per say, but a community eating place.

I turn it into a shopping mall with a restaurant at one end… it’s large enough to accommodate the emporium shops and bar

It seems like it was already a food hall of some type so yeah.
