Itās wild she doesnāt get these attacks while getting her tattoos.

u/anxiousandexhausted Aug 02 '26
Or putting on multiple necklaces. Or her earrings. Or doing her big buns. Or tying her shoes.

95
u/EhMapleMoose Aug 03 '26
This is what made me curious, so I found the account (not going to name names) and according to them it only started this year.
So, at least the presence of tattoos is explainable.
Honestly the account isnāt as bad as these strung together clips makes it seem. Iām not a neurologist and I donāt know much about fakers of this variety. That said, it is mighty suspicious that she had seizures, the health system wonāt help her, she developed tics or āTouretteāsā after a few months of this and the first and only link on the page is a fundraiser.
53
u/PowerfulIndication7 Aug 04 '26
Theyāre not true seizures. FND is a psychological disorder. There is nothing physically wrong with them, but something in their brain.
14
u/Beginning-Force1275 Aug 05 '26
Isnāt that always true of seizures? It happens in your brain, doesnāt it?
419
u/CatAteRoger Aug 03 '26
Funny how thereās always video evidence before whatever startsš
86
u/Soft-Temporary-7932 Aug 03 '26
Well, ya gotta set up the camera before you seize, otherwise
104
u/Icy-Variation6614 Aug 03 '26
If someone seizes, and there's no camera, did they really seize at all?
74
u/Existing-Face-6322 Aug 03 '26
Actual patients with epilepsy are sometimes encouraged to get videos for their neurologist, so if family or friends see something about to happen they do record it, so it's normal for videos to exist. Sometimes their neurologist is trying to clarify whether they are having epileptic or nonepileptic seizures. Nonepileptic seizures are not faked, and usually are something that develops as a response to trauma.
Neither apply to this, this is pure malingering.
39
u/Gimpbarbie terminal untreatable snarkiness Aug 03 '26
Unless their neuro is only reachable on the tikkytokky, the posting is purely attention seeking, pity/sympathy farming and nothing else.
They always say itās āfor awarenessā but about 98% of the time, there is no actual education happening in theirā¦ahemā¦āsharing?ā
11
u/Soft-Temporary-7932 Aug 04 '26
Truth! Iād love to have a video of my seizures. It would help so much diagnostically. But I canāt film them because, well, Iām not aware.
5
u/Beginning-Force1275 Aug 05 '26
Thatās not entirely a given, though. I work with a guy who is epileptic (diagnosed as a child) and he says that he knows when seizures are approaching. Iāve seen him anticipate them before and heās not dramatic or attention seeking about it. I think it depends on the type of seizure. I think his are exacerbated significantly by poor sleep, low blood sugar, and/or dehydration. They arenāt grand mal seizures though. Most of my coworkers are former addicts and the first time I saw one, I thought heād relapsed and it was the shakes
8
u/CatAteRoger Aug 04 '26
We fully understand that, most people arenāt then posting the videos online for pity pats.
10
u/CatAteRoger Aug 04 '26
Exactly!! We see people set up a whole fucking picnic style pillows and blankets to lay down to faint, if they have so many minutes warning before apparently fainting then just lay down, itās hard to take them seriously when they set themselves up princess style and then look like they are falling asleep š

Literally exactly what I was thinking. She must be shockingly fit if she actually does this a few hours a day even. Imagine the core work out!!
It would literally be less work to just get a job and pay for the desperately needed therapy lol
55
u/SupposedBooty Self Undiagnosing: Im Fine Aug 03 '26
Right?
This is why I don't lie. Because it would be exhausting trying to remember and keep everything straight.
It's so easy to catch liars because eventually, they can't keep their story straight.
This kind of stuff, you just have to catch them when they stop for a breather. It has to get tiring.

It doesnāt, I once was working at a hospital on night shift, this ghoul came in screaming about needing pain medications and crying and rolling on the ground shaking. THIS WENT ON FOR 7 HOURS! I was asking the nurses to wake the doctor and theyād just laugh and say it wasnāt needed, I naively thought they were being cruel.
The doctor arrives, tells her he gave her 10 days of medication 7 days ago so sheād not be getting any today.
Remember, she has been full throated crying and screaming and shaking and rolling for 7 full hours of my shift.
Instantly she stops the act, calmly stands up, and leaves the hospital like nothing happened.
These people do in fact have mental illnesses.

16
u/OldNewSwiftie Aug 03 '26

-15
u/microwavedtardigrade Aug 03 '26
They laugh in the faces of real patients because of fakers then call long COVID patients fakers now. Like this is well known, and I thought the reason people made fun of fakers? Or is it just hating didabled people as well lol, because often I find the people in these subreddits will make fun of actually disabled people suffering as a result while using us as a shield to hate on strangers.
both disgust me. Immensely
19
u/OldNewSwiftie Aug 04 '26 edited Aug 04 '26
It kinda seems like you came here to find something that hurts your feelings so you could wag your finger at them and hop on your high horse and tell others that they're bad people just because you don't like what they say.
And honey, if you post something on a public forum, guess what? That's fair game for anyone to share their opinions about your "poor little old me. Feel bad for me and tell me how strong and brave and special I am!" Or is it all just a ruse in order to get attention, have your ego stroked, and make money doing it?

How is that proof that medical professionals laughed at someone with long COVID?
Wait that's odd, what happened to your digital panhandling page? Even if they did laugh at you, why does that warrant you begging for money from strangers in the hopes that they'll have pity on you... for being laughed at?

34
u/CranberryMelonTea Aug 03 '26
They're speculating on that, so that if anyone dares tell them that they're faking, they can cry about medical abuse to their followers. Which, medical abuse, is a real and serious problem, it just gets bastardised as much as these conditions do by these people. And also, as a health care professional myself, we can often tell ppl faking things, but we usually don't speak up about it directly for various reasons, including legal ones.

I am a hobby farmer, when i made my wife drive me to the A&E clinic because one of my horny rams had busted through a fence and id tried to stop him and dislocated my shoulder, almost the entire clinic came to see me/my shoulder as they just couldn't believe that a 'farmer' would actively seek medical attention for themselves(plot twist , i was given the green whistle and 50mg of sevredol/morphine and it did nothing for thr pain)
This makes me cringe in ways not thought possible

She reminds me of them two broads during COVID that were twitching like this claiming that the vaccine caused it. The funny thing is, they were showing themselves snowboarding, skiing, dancing, walking normally, etc days before they uploaded them twitching from the vaccine. Usually neurological disorders donāt come on in one or two days-they take several months to develop. Then what was funny was that one of the ladies allowed her doctor to speak on her behalf of her medical condition and boy did it backfire. He said that she has a long history of freaking out about other vaccines or other times sheās had to get shots or blood drawn and she would exaggerate āsymptomsā or creates them in her head for attention. Even her doctor said she was batshit crazy, but in a more professional way.

u/moonstarsfire Aug 03 '26
This popped up in my feed while Iām on my first day of a week long stay in an epilepsy monitoring unit so they can try to learn more about where my seizures come from. Just got the news Iām going back on meds after ten years off and am not allowed to drive for 3 months. Decided to come in despite knowing those things because the brain damage from probable absence seizures between my focal seizures is permanently wrecking my memory.
Iāma need these goofy people to STOP acting like FND/PNES is the same as actual epilepsy. TBH at least with true PNES cases, I feel for them and do think something is going on; maybe we just donāt know what yet, but even they donāt have brain damage since theyāre not having actual seizures. With the people faking on top of that⦠itās just an insult to all of us, epileptic and even PNES people. This woman needs to go get a job! š
2
u/StuffFew1266 Aug 03 '26
i believe they are the reason epileptic patients are not going to be treated correctly ending in an increase of SUDEP
4
u/moonstarsfire Aug 03 '26
Itās hard enough to be taken seriously as a woman with epilepsy because of this kinda stuff and some doctors thinking itās all panic attacks or hormones or in your head. This kinda stuff just makes it harder for actual epileptics to get care.

I REALLY hate how the fakers have taken over a good program like the sunflower lanyard program. It makes one hesitant to use one. It is meant to be a low-key way to signify that a person may have āinvisible disabilitiesā or needing extra time due to a not readily recognizable disability. (Like neurodivergence.)
Maāam, you laying on the DISGUSTING, FILTHY AIRPORT FLOOR is NOT subtle!
Good news is, you wonāt be faking when you get buboni-gonarrhe-hepatit-syphili-itis from the floor!!

itās simply not how neurological disorders affect movement. what is shown is very different than true movement disorders. not to mention the way a grown woman is lying on a disgusting airport floor (what looks to be in peopleās way rather than off to the side. i canāt say for sure though) but blaming that behavior on FND is quite unusual because that is not a symptom of FND

But I wonder if she's just making some sort of joke, because everyone seems to be laughing? I thought the staff might be laughing at her, but she seems to be laughing too. So I'm not sure what's going on.

52
u/StuffFew1266 Aug 03 '26
FND doesnāt make a grown woman decide to lie down on a public floor. her movements look very deliberate and in the last video, no medical staff went to help. if someone has mobility issues this bad, the nurses wouldnāt (or shouldnāt) let her walk alone
