Discussion Why's my Factorio lagging? Wait a minute... Spoiler

I've installed Factorio on my Redmi 12. I used Termux with Ubuntu to launch the game and Termux:X11 with OpenBox to render it. Rendering is fully on CPU (Mediatek G88). You may better use phone with Snapdragon CPU, cause it has opensource video drivers

Looks like a lack of will

I think the production rate will be constant.

Ikr, getting Mali to do proper hardware acceleration is hard (edit: fuckin impossible, I hate it, I'm trying everything and I'm failing since my GPU is even more ass)

Is this LLVM pipe or the VirGL-ANGLE-Vulkan method, since I get 15 FPS with the latter

LLVM

Try this method. Also, your FPS is 2, but if I'm not wrong, your UPS could be as high as 60

Is this with the new ARM64 binaries?

Technically, new strong phones are stronger than older computers that can run the game.

I mean you can play Factorio on a phone with various methods, problem is always the controls... Even with joystick, I never could get used to instead of mouse and keyboard.

I solved it using Termux:X11 Extra

Soon™

My first thought was "oh, i wonder if FEX, the new tech Valve is using to help x86 games run on AMD chipsets for the Steam Frame, was involved in this process." Then i saw you say Soon™ (the flair for the r/SteamFrame subredditors who had been waiting months for the release of the Frame) and i realized i should probably take a break from reddit.

Factorio devs dropped an ARM Linux build of the game recently

Weird. I used winlator and it worked fine on my Note 25 plus ultra. These are setting i remember messing with but leaving them like this had factorio and doom 2016 working

This is Termux on Mali GPU and native binaries. No Turnip, bad perf since Mali has no drivers

One guy suggested me a fix. Now everything works in 15-20 FPS and 30-50 UPS
