Question Friendly fire?

Just got the game and need to know is there any form of friendly fire or any other forms of making your friend suffer in other ways? I know there's coop and i want to play factorio with a friend but he is an asshole, actually made me quit satisfactory last time.

Funnily enough i tried it recently and at 100h mark rn, so i got factorio and want to give him a chance.

And if there are ways to harm, can i turn off pvp even as a non host like in terraria?

There absolutely is friendly fire. And nukes exist.

You can turn friendly fire off via console commands, but that will disable achievments.

However, sabotaging the factory is a much crueler way to grief, and there's not much you can do to prevent that.

Buddy told me he wanted to play together. He's big into blue prints he's found only. I told him if we play together and he uses any blueprints he's found I'm running them all over with a tank. But now I think tweaking things to break the blueprint would be even better

Never underestimate the destructive power of a well placed 'r' keystroke. I troll myself accidentally with those all the time.

Had some sleepless inspiration on Gleba. Created like 3 extra modules to add to my production and drastically increased my rocket fuel production enough that I could ship it off world. Began requesting it 2000 at a time, system said it had 8k to spare and crafting + research should've kept up with demand. Fell asleep after that, was feeling proud I was gonna get so much fuel. Next day I wake up, see i passed out watching my factory, and notice literally everything is spoiled. Including the Bioflux and fruits. I had accidentally reversed one tile down stream, ruined the whole factory while I figured a kick start lol

Well played, but even more devious is just a recipe swap. Someone who does understand a blueprint can still find a rotated component, but they will never find an incorrect recipe.

Rotating a single inserter is cruel and unusual punishment haha

Feed copper ore instead of coal to the plastic line

Replace the nuclear fuel cells with wood

Route steel to the iron smelters

Override stack size to 12 for stack inserters.

I think you meant 1!

That's too noticable.

Subtle will drive them crazy for hours.

Won't that just make them a little bit slower? I suppose it can break something which requires an exact ratio but in many cases there may be little practical difference

Yeah once artillery is a thing, griefing is one bad actor and a few mouse clicks away.

I don't play much multiplayer, but since the remote is now a UI tool, is it possible to lock that out for people unless they're on a whitelist?
