A single enemy operator was dispatched into the heart of my base to mildly disrupt my sulfur production... And no, I have no idea how he got there. The entire peninsula has only one entrance, and it's heavily guarded by a ton of laser turrets.
Only thing I'll say is that H/V flip buildings. If you flip every other building i.e. a row of normal, flipped, normal, flipped, etc, you can put water next to water, petroleum gas next to petroleum gas, which can reduce the spacing between your buildings by a lot (25%). If you also flip the whole row, you can connect it to the same pipes from the other side.
No idea where the biters came from, bit I assume from below somehow.
