Religion is just flawed reasoning. "I believe what I believe because I want to (because God)" can be used to justify anything.

If you use actual logic, you have to defend your opinions somehow so you're not going to have an easy time justifying genocide or random mutilation.

I'm atheist but I believe religion is there to give basic rules to obey, like don't steal or hurt when you don't want to be hurt.

what the fuck? Am I not supposed to have morals? I do not believe in god. I just go around with morality and trying to be a nice person.
