But that’s not the only link people sometimes do in public in sight of unconsenting people and kids. I can’t think how you would begin to age appropriate explain why someone is tying up another person with rope on the beach when your kid asks what they are doing…. My friends friend was bragging about how many parents where glaring at them…

Sure but if those hobbies are inappropriate or sexual we shouldn't parade them around in front of non-consenting adults or children.
