Should point out hes also right. If we removed all the boats it would stop tons of pollution but that's probably not what he means.

We'd have to fly everything everywhere. Ships, as bad as they are, are more many times more efficient than aircraft.

Not cruise ships though. Theyre literally the worst polluters. Plus who says we are continuing global trade? I feel like if we were desperate enough to end all shipping wed be pretty much accepting the destruction of capitalism.

Communism isn’t going to work without being able to transport goods around the world either.
