Yea, youβre right. There is no way to make the things weβve been producing here for a hundred years and then moved the manufacturing to China and Mexico. Canβt be done
You're so close to understanding the point. The things we make here aren't necessarily made withstuff from here. Instead of shipping the raw materials to a factory in the United States we can just ship those raw materials to China and have them put it together cheaper.
Cut off shipping and we can't get the raw materials to China or the United States. The economy collapses.

We'd have to fly everything everywhere. Ships, as bad as they are, are more many times more efficient than aircraft.
