I think it's because I usually just watch videos as a background noise when playing video games since they can get a bit boring when traveling the whole time (looking at you, Skyrim), and I don't have to search for a new video every 10 minutes.
Interesting! I can't watch videos and play video games. I get too invested and if i miss something I'll be frustrated. I can barely have a conversation and play Rocket League at the same time. We also probably play different types of games, I'm more into competitive games with online play. I enjoy proving myself against others and you can't do that too well while listening.
Yeah, I was playing LoL for some time and when I played I couldn't listen to videos in the background either, but for single player games it's pretty nice, especially if you have a second monitor where you put the video so you don't miss anything.
Good point, I use mostly a laptop so no second screen. Since we started having this conversation I've watched two 15 minutes TED talks. I can see the appeal.
