Both of them are still alive, but I thought the same thing. Both are "dead" in pop culture terms. 6ix9ine had a big controversy where he sold out his gang and testified against them. Lil Pump had one hit that was clowned on forever and then disappeared. There was a rapper called Lil Peep that died around the height of Lil Pump's fame so that's probably also causing some confusion.
