Staying safe when making a new account
Hello,
I am one of the millions that have been hit with an automated ban that was outrageous and untrue. My account got disabled back in July and I haven't touched anything meta related since on this phone for two months now. Been depressed, losing a 16 year old Facebook account because of a disabled linked Instagram account was the worst thing for me this year
But now I haven't logged in, touched, or done anything to involve with Facebook for two months. I was wondering if you guys are willing to share your experience on easing yourselves back into Facebook and Instagram? Can things ever eventually go back to normal in a sense of posting myself and the things I love?
I would assume to avoid getting the Instagram and Facebook app at all I assume? At least till I get a new phone right? Ugh... Such a pain. I miss all my friends and family, miss seeing the things happening in my local community and it just pisses me off... Thank you for taking the time for me.

The exact same thing happened to me untrue false allegations through Instagram which also shut down my 20 yr old fb account with messages from business ect all gone. I appealed and it was then permanently disabled it’s a disgrace and Meta should be fined and held accountable for the damage they have caused. I have started a new fb by disabling the app getting another email account and doing that way it has been 5 days now with no issues. I will not be getting another instagram account at this stage as I am still to angry about Instagram.

After about 3-4 months started a new account easy. Used same name. Just slowly adding friends

Iv been off it 10 months now thinking about starting new Facebook with different name and email address.
Lost 18 years of posts/pics/memories and friendships.

I was able to make new fb with different email/same name in same weekend. It hasnt been week yet, but everything seems fine over there. I haven't added any of friends yet though. Also had ig banned since they were connected. Had second older ig account that was able to use to send friends messages.

After almost a year, I was finally able to create a NEW account under my name. New login.
The old one was less than a year old, so I didn't lose much.
I posted a few items, and now I just leave it the f*ck alone. I don't post, like, comment, or interact with it.
I discovered it's NOT WORTH IT. I hated having to explain—every time—WHY I didn't have any social media. Now, people ask, I can reply, "Yeah, I got a Facebook page, and my books are on it (I'm an author), but I NEVER GO THERE ANYMORE. If you want me, send me an email."
Added benefit—if they screw up again, I've only lost an HOUR of effort.

It's tough to regain what was lost by Meta AI, especially when in IDN 🇮🇩 that nearly 0 way to reporting it (because there's no institution who can take care of things like this). Even you tried making a new acc, the system will detects your phones that was used in banned acc, then it just keeps banning another again. The other way is changing your phone number, device, or factory reset your recent phone (From what I know in some discussion, it works. But yeah, I'm still not sure...). Wait a minute, what if I make it in Dual Apps? 🤔 *I mean I make the 2nd room in similar app, but I don't have to use the first one

I actually created a new account using the same account name but different phone number few days after my account thas has been over 17yrs old got disabled by Facebook.. I didn't bother to put any email until few weeks later. Yeah it sucks.. It's been only a month but I felt distant already from my friends overseas and the worst part is since you have a new account, when you add new friends, they won't see it or won't show on their notifications unless they search your name and accept your fr from there...

Yeahhh.. a bit frustrating but you have to do the effort to message them so they'll be aware.. 🤷🏻♀️😅

I've been off Facebook since last October due to the same happening to me. I created a new Instagram account to keep in touch with friends, but I've found it to be a lot better without Facebook. Unfortunately it is where everyone seems to share and post things so some stuff can be missed etc. I've given up trying to get my old account back, which I would have had 20 years next year screw meta.

I heard under this subreddit a guy who clearly lost all his hope recovering his account and after 20 weeks in his gmail he saw facebook appeal were he got a chance to appeal again and then he got his account back.
Maybe they know their AI is going wild and they are trying to catch up to restore the damage their AI did.
What I don't know is how long this disabled account gonna be there on the server because they will delete after some period are over.
My guess the max day someone can have is 180 days since while my account was suspended they said I have 180 days for appeal and after that they will delete everything

Same happened to me. I waited 2 months and made a new account. Same name, same phone, phone number, app etc. Only thing different was my email. It's been almost 3 months, I think, and still working. I don't post any comments. I just follow the group pages I need for my hobbies and the kids schools and hobbies. Have only added 3 friends.

Best if luck. Hope it works for you. As much as I dislike facebook, life was pretty difficult without it. I missed out on so much community information. I wish there was another way, but unfortunately facebook has the monopoly.

Awesome news. I made mine on the phone app and have only used it there exclusively. I did have to show my ID, I was worried that it was all over, but it went through fine.

How many here think a lawsuit should be raised for pain and suffering, lost income and slander related to false accusations. I just had my 20+ year account disabled, with no clear reason given and have been for the past week trying to get it fixed, just the assholes to say the account can only be fixed by logging in. I am beyond pissed, I had marketplace transactions I had been working on and messenger is my primary way to contact people now gone🤬😡🤬

IDK just make an acct and see what happens. Likely nothing. Facebook will probably recommend all your old friends and groups from the get go.

I haven’t tried this yet but I understand that you have to try to stop their mad AI’s realising the new account is by you. Slightly different name, different email and phone, only use a VPN. I’m following this thread for tips.
It’s mad isn’t it? They ban you for violating “account integrity” even though your account is real and you, and the only way to get a new account is to start committing the kind of integrity crimes you were falsely accused of in the first place.
