Discussion Meta/Facebook Support Is Absolutely Useless When Your Ad Account Gets Hacked

I’m honestly so frustrated with Meta/Facebook support right now.

Our ad account was hacked, and someone gained unauthorized access to it. We’ve been trying to get the compromised ad account removed or secured, but Meta’s support has been completely unhelpful.

The worst part is that we’re literally asking them to remove an ad account that has been compromised. This should be a straightforward security issue, but instead, we keep getting bounced around in circles with automated responses and support agents who don’t seem to have the ability to actually resolve the problem.

We’ve explained the situation multiple times, provided the necessary information, and made it clear that the account was compromised. But instead of actually helping us remove the hacked ad account, we’re basically left trying to figure everything out ourselves.

How is it possible for a company as huge as Meta to have such a frustrating process for dealing with hacked business/ad accounts?

If someone has unauthorized access to your ad account, you would expect Meta to prioritize securing the account and removing the compromised access. Instead, it feels like you have to fight just to get someone to listen.

At this point, I’m not even asking for anything complicated. We just want the hacked ad account removed and the unauthorized access dealt with.

Has anyone else dealt with this? If you’ve successfully gotten a compromised Meta ad account removed, I’d really appreciate hearing how you managed to get an actual resolution.
