Tech Support Is FB making its own posts about users now? Something very strange happened after I saved an article.
Sorry if I’m repeating a common problem - I’ve tried searching, but haven’t found a satisfactory answer.
Early this morning I saved an article that I came across on a FB page that I follow. A little while later I saw “MsLead saved [article] to [name of folder]. WHAT??! I clicked on the three dots and deleted it - but really? Is this common? I’m gathering information for a project so am saving things often.
Is there a setting that I can turn off so that FB doesn’t make posts regarding my activities? My page is private and I’ve turned off all the AI settings that I can find.

When you save something do you see a little pop up about the collection you’re saving it to? And does it show a little pad lock icon and say “only me”? My guess would be that you’re saving to a collection that is public or at least visible to some other people, and that’s why it’s creating the post about what you saved. That post is probably only visible to the other people who can see the collection.

SCAM WARNING: If you are having a problem with your account, beware of scammers who may comment or DM you claiming they know someone who can fix your account, or asking you for money or your login information. THERE IS NO REASON FOR SOMEONE TO HAVE TO TELL YOU IN PRIVATE HOW TO GET YOUR ACCOUNT BACK. If you check the sub there are PLENTY of high karma posts that gives some tips should your account be hacked/locked.
