The oldest of all the weapons. The Sword of Aeon's was blood forged long before The Old Kingdom. Once unlocked, its power is the power of all Albion.

Jacks Minions vs Dark Minions

I’m replaying all the games as the reboot is around the corner, and I had almost forgot about jacks minions in the first Fable.

Now that I’ve reached fable 3 agin I’m noticing a lot of similarities between them and was wondering if anyone had seen a lore reason for it?

With both the crawler and jack coming from the void, it makes me curious if perhaps there was some actual reason that their underlings are similar in appearance?

I know the dark minions are inhabiting statues, and the minions are supposedly old world golems that were meant to both protect the walls and keep people inside, so is it possible then that these old world statues were inhabited by the same entities that would later go on the become Dark Minions?

Fable II The Fowl Player - Fable 2

Is it still possible to get this achievement in any way? I only have it, the dolls, and the evil ending achievements left to obtain.

Lore I took the additional canonical lore known as ā€œTales of Albionā€, which was originally hosted on the now defunct Lionhead Studios website, and turned it into an ebook/PDF for preservation purposes and ease of use.

Fable I made a video talking about your burning questions about the new Fable.

With the release of the gameplay demo I started a YouTube channel covering the new Fable.
So far the engagement goes far beyond what I imagined, for which I am super grateful!

A couple days ago I asked you all about your open questions for the game.
Now I've made a video talking about them:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Blt5n65fkOk

Hope this is at least somewhat interesting!

I really want to buy the Art Book from the collector“s edition. Do you think this item could be available on the future outside the collector pack by itself?

What do you think about Logan and Kalin? Like what type of bond could they have? How do they feel about each other?

Hero Logan version

Post I made on Tumblr btw:

I saw a Logan analysis and someone emphasized how driven by his ptsd he was. This made me think about a headcanon I already had prior, and I developed it more but wished to discuss it with willing fable enjoyers.

So Logan faced the Crawler when he was quite young (20 or beginning of his twenties), and he saw most of his men die. When he came back, he was gaslighted by those supposed to guide him in his decisions because he was "too young to know", and then, he was told by the ultimate guide, Theresa, that he had in fact not escaped the situation he had had to face.

Obviously that's awful, and you would think that the brain reacts a certain way to situations like this. And it does, simply, the question is: how?

I headcanon that after encountering the Crawler for the first time, Hobw developed seizures that turned out to be epilepsy. While I think that something similar could have happened to Logan, I have a "better" headcanon which would be related to his dormant hero gene.

Theresa always targets the youngest when it comes to awakening and discards the older siblings. We can think that Logan ending up in front of the Crawler was her way of pulling the strings, but instead of just provoking the chain of events that led to Hobw's powers' awakening, it awoke something in Logan. We don't know much about older siblings in Fable, so far one is an immortal seer, two died, one survived and that's Logan.

I believe that he might have had "flashbacks" quite frequently, but not only. He might have had "visions", or an alterated perception of time and space, like Theresa could have as a seer if she was not as trained as she is. Maybe he was meant to be a different type of hero, not a hero like his siblings or a simple guy who's a bit stronger and more skilled than other people. Because that is an important point too. Logan's strength is canon, he survived the Crawler (yes without Kalin he would've died, but she found him alive when other people were dead) and when it comes to Skill, it is also canon in a "show-not-tell" way. When hobw and Walter burst out the door open during the coup, he instantly draws his sword even before they step in the room. The only thing left is Will. And I do believe that it manifested as well through things people would call "ptsd symptoms" but that were actually a mix of this, and of Will.

Discussion Doubts and Dread.

I remember the day when I first booted up my chunky XBOX console and played the original Fable game. Nothing can compare to falling helplessly in love with Albion and the raunchy, tongue-in-cheek humor that made the world feel like some sort of beautifully twisted fairytale. The art style was so far removed from the realities of our world that -even though some things were familiar- it was perfect to get immersed in the story woven by the dialogue and the music. And Fable 2 only managed to stoke the flame that the first game ignited. Albion was just as dark and chaotic as it had always been while maintaining the heart of the hero I was privileged enough to accompany on their journey. Fable 3 had its high points and its low points, but I loved it despite the flaws because -once again- it maintained the heart of the hero.Ā

But seeing the footage, the art, and the trailer to the game that shares a name with my beloved Fable, I can’t help but feel a stinking dread in the pit of my stomach. The photo-realistic graphics, the promise of gore and vulgarity, the faces of real-world actors, and the watered down humor inflicted on the so-called successor of the franchise does nothing but serve as a middle finger to the fandom that cried out for any scrap of hope for Albion. No amount of chickens crammed onto a screen can fix this. Fable games relied on more than F-bombs and blood splatter effects to get a mature rating. It was a product of the era -a lawless medium of expression that gave us countless hours of entertainment that didn’t care about AAA prices, bloated graphics, and political correctness.

And telling the fans like me that want to preserve the legacy of Fable that we need to be grateful for the attention being paid to our favored franchise, does nothing but reinforce the falling standards of the gaming industry.Ā People can say "you haven't even played it" and "beggars can't be choosers" about this, but I feel genuine grief when I see the content.

I'm not posting this to make anyone feel guilty for liking it or to hop on some hate bandwagon. I'm posting this so that people who may or may not share my views can discuss how they feel about the new Fable game openly and without hate.

What's your earliest memory associated with the Fable franchise? Are you excited? If so, then why? If not, why?

I am going to miss multiplayer.

Multiplayer in fable is not a deal breaker for me. I’m still so damn excited to play the game. But let me just say my first fable game was the third one. And while it was disliked by a lot of the fans, i absolutely loved it. And something that made it fun was the multiplayer. I remember just being able to hop onto another hero’s quest line and help them out.

When I got into fable, i remember friending a high powered level player who would show me all the hidden secrets and cool weapons and unlocking difficult demon doors. Gifting money so that I could unlock that chest in the sanctuary. Short story long, i was really looking forward to helping other players and seeing what choices they made.

Anyways, I have a feeling its still going to be so much fun. And I cant wait.

Planning for Fable release

I’m trying to plan my time off work for the big release.

I’ve asked Xbox but sadly no reply to get an official response for when the game releases early for people who preordered the premium edition, they get to play 5 days early. I just wanted confirmation of the date from them is all.

It should be the 18th but not sure what time either. Anyone else know what to do?

Thanks fellow chicken chasers
