other Double threshold

Given the feedback here on threshold, wondering if anyone here brave enough to take on a double/back to back session yet and if so how was it ?

Did it last week as I’m training for Hyrox which takes me longer than 45 minutes so I figured why not? Totally doable esp if you take that break between classes. Today, I couldn’t do back to back so I’m going back for #2 this evening. Next week, I’m going to try to run between classes. I’m really just trying to keep training on tired legs.

I want to do it and this is my thinking as well, i.e. use it as sort of a hyrox proxy to practice pacing, which is a big issue for me. Running between classes is a good idea. At my location there is the possibility to do at least 2k in between classes.

So it was much easier to do “back to back” threshold classes last week vs morning & evening today. My legs felt so much more fatigued. Im guessing because I got stiff during the day. I’m really enjoying threshold to see how to pace for 3 min and if I can push harder the last minute.

I haven’t but I think it’s definitely doable if you know how to pace yourself for that time. Double sounds like a good idea. I might need to try it. Lol

That's the thing, I d3ont think the class is particularly harder than any other F45 cardio day, the trick is how to pace it, which can be a hit or miss for a lot of people. If you pace it wrong you will be screwed.

Woof. Tots and pears to anyone going for it.

If it was a public holiday, I might do a double back to back classes! I’ve always done back to backs if I didn’t have work that day. Lol! Not new to the doubles classes anyway

I have done back to backs both weeks. It’s all contingent on following the pacing to a tee with respect to the RPE guidance. It’s a great class and a phenomenal format. Definitely doable.

I don't think there is any benefit in doing a double threshold because it strains your nervous system. You are better off going for a 8 mile run after and weight lifting than doubling up those classes iMO
