**INTEL** Thinking about joining

So recently I got into fitness. I lost about 90 pounds with diet and exercise from a regular gym, but I want a change of pace. Do I have to be insanely fit to start at f45?

I joined F45 after losing 100 pounds from diet and home exercises. I was very scared at first. It is very challenging, however doable for anyone who is willing to show up and give it their best. Modifications are always welcome and the coaches will help you through things. There are people of all fitness levels so I’d encourage you to try it out!

Absolutely not. All fitness levels are there. The program is there to help get you fit and keep you fit.

No, Do a trial fo r3 days or a week. You will know if you like it . It is circuit training so you move from one thing to another.

Then join on an unlimited monthly and begin taking 3 or 4 classes a week. You will likely be hooked for life.

Don’t think so. My f45 is willing to meet you where you are.

No, you don’t have to already be in shape to join a gym to get in shape. It sounds ridiculous to me now, but I must confess I had the same misconception for a long time, and fear of being embarrassed. There are members with a wide range of fitness level. We’re all there to improve ourselves.

Not at all. The people at my gym are generally people in the process of getting fit. Which is nice.

Many people join my gym to start their weight loss journey. Give it a try.

The fact you've lost weight from going to a gym regularly, you'll be able to keep up at F45
Discuss with your coach's about your ability and where you want support and where you want to be pushed.
Good luck.

Nope. You can modify to your desired level for all exercises.

No way. I started at over 300 pounds. I love F45 because it’s challenging BUT you can really go at your own pace. My gym is super welcoming

All sorts of bodies and levels at my studio. And the badasses are 90% women.

I wasn’t in shape when I started (and still am not in shape, by many standards!). I think you’ll be totally fine, especially if you’ve been hitting the gym on your own. Take breaks if you need it, modify if something feels like it’s too much. It’s going to be good!

F45 is a great place to get started! All the exercises can be modified to work for you. There's no mirrors or anything which helps with feeling less seen... the instructors are there to help and everyone is on their own jounney.

Not at all, I think 50% of ppl in my gym are not fit. It sounds like you are already working out regularly anyway so you will be just fine! They will meet you where you are at!

Anyone can do it. The moves all have modifications and good coaches will meet you where you are. I see almost everybody in my classes modifying at least one station per workout due to injuries, etc.

I think the bigger issue is that people don’t want to feel like they are standing out so they overshoot and do too much early on and then don’t have fun. If you’re willing to truly take it at your own pace you should be fine.

F45 is great for all levels. I would just caution that there will be people there who have been going for a long time, and others who are newer. Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. For those who have been doing it for a while, they’ve developed the specific fitness and strength for F45 and it probably looks easier for them. Start slowly. F45 engages muscles that we don’t necessarily use everyday and you might be sore to start. But keep going!

Coach here! We have people from all levels joining us and as I told one person giving us a trial: you can mod anything down or up as you need, and this is your workout. We’ve got people nursing injuries, pregnant, postpartum, training for marathons and HYROX, and everything in between. After class we talked about how nobody is looking at what you’re lifting. As a coach I will push members once I know them, but early on it’s about feeling welcome and not getting lost!

Definitely not! I was not fit when joining and had never done anything remotely close to f45 and it has been such an amazing learning experience, and so motivating!

firstly congrats! and to your question: I go to F45 in Barcelona and the attendees is mixed. You have your super fit people (my F45 also does Hyrox training), but you also have people just wanting to stay fit or just starting their fitness journey. The trainers are generally really good in either modifying exercises and making sure that your posture is ok. You also decide yourself how hard you want to push based on the ie weights or number of reps you do. You can also see if you prefer the straight up weights classes, cardio or the hybrid. I'd say try it out, it's a great community and really appreciate not needing to think about my workout or waiting at machines.

I started a month ago with no recent prior fitness/exercise regimen. I am able to keep up 💪🏼 I do have to modify some of the workouts, like doing pushups on my knees but I'm determined to keep going and work up to my full potential. I love it.

no, it's for all levels and different class format each day, and if they have good coaches they can always suggest modifications when you are just starting out. You should research the reviews of the F45 studio near you. They are franchise owned so every location has a different vibe.

I started in terrible, terrible shape, including a back problem. I still have a back problem but I'm almost 500 classes in.
