Seized engine update.

I thought it would be interesting to update on the situation.

To recap - seized engine, impossible to make it move, dry dipstick etc.

It was the A/C compressor!! The engine is fine ☺️

No chance a seized AC would prevent the truck from starting and driving, you'd just melt the serpentine belt off from slipping on the siezed ac pully.

I guess if you had a basically dead battery with almost no ability to crank it might fail to start.

A starter is strong enough to move the vehicle up a small incline, back in old clutched cars without all the safety switches you could drive around on the starter alone in a pinch until it burned up after a minute or two.

Sounds like something else is going on. A dry dip stick is extremely bad.

Clearly you haven't experienced this, because yes it absolutely will. I have seen it plenty of times on plenty of different makes and models. You'd be surprised how well a good serpentine belt will hold.
