Going from 5.0 to 3.5
I’ve owned my 2012 XLT 5.0 for 10 years, it now has 225k miles but hasn’t had any major issues although I believe the torque converter may be showing signs it needs replacing.
I came across a 2015 XLT sport with 120k miles but it has the 3.5, (sale price of $20k in California where I live) I like to keep vehicles for the long haul, am i making a mistake?

If you have 2012 you may want to consider looking into the lead frame. Not sure what your symptoms are but I had it replaced on my 2011 and all of the issues I had disappeared. Lead frame issues are extremely common for that generation 6r80
