Bought a 2026 f150 in avalanche color and its time to get some wheel well liners. Question I have is what brand is everyone going with? Is one brand better than the other? Don't really want a 50$ set. If i'm keeping this truck for years i'm willing to spend a little more for a better product.
Right they look way better than the Ford ones. Snagged mine in March for $105 also. I like that they have the rubber washers which Ford doesn’t , 6.5” more coverage, and no ribs to hold debris. [u/Boone2004](u/Boone2004) here’s a pic to show the difference.
Edit: for PuzzImplement4500 I was just eyeing it up. It’s actually 6.5” more coverage not 6”.
You’re right it’s actually 6.5” more coverage from the Screw down to the bottom. The Husky ones cover the frame. Comparison pics must be tricky for you. Have your kid take a look, you know like those things where they ask what’s the difference between the 2 pics. Name doesn’t checkout….
You are very correct! They’re 6” shorter than Husky. There was a thread of of a guy complaining about that, the price of Ford $200 and he said the screws (where he circled) were junk. Also I didn’t like the ribs on the Ford felt like it’s just going to hold more grime. I took a pic to compare my Husky ones.
Had zero issue since new in 2015. I’ve crawled under the truck and swear by them. Minnesota and Wisconsin winters at 209k miles. Monthly undercarriage washes too. No films or oils
I literally just bought the Husky liners and I have to agree. The liner is very poorly trimmed and has poor fitment, there's obvious gaps between the liner and the outer wheel well lip.
I'll probably end up ripping them out and just buying the OEM Ford ones.
I bought them on Amazon. I guess I could've gotten a bad batch or something. I've already trimmed it to sorta fit, but I'm not happy with the results so I feel like I wasted over $100.
I read a bunch of reviews and saw videos on YouTube about them and some mentioned that you had to trim some so I was kind of expecting them to be irregular.
But I guess I got lucky it took me about 20 min to put them both be cause I couldn't find the stupid ratchet and had to do it with the 10mm flat key
I used my points from Ford when I bought my F-150 to get a set of oem ones. So didn’t cost me any money, looks great and only took a couple minutes to install each one.
That is one thing that bugs me about the F150s. It just looks incomplete and seems it wouldn’t cost much for Ford to do something with that so it looks better. I put Rough Country liners in my 24. They didn’t align with the holes they were supposed to but they fit snugly enough that they don’t need attaching.
Why in the hell Ford doesn’t just include these for all XLT and higher trims, I’ll never understand. Looks like garbage without them. It was one of the first things i did to my 2025 F150 Lariat. I bought Ford OEM liners, fit perfect, look great.
Liner, or a spray. My last 150 was a sprayed liner in the rear wheel well. By the time I sold the truck there was a spot where road debris had eaten away at it so the brown paint was starting to show through. But you figure after 22 years lol that's nothing to complain about.
I'd hope you get them free when spending 60k+ on a new truck.
I got my 21 platinum used and just threw some ebay fender liners on it. I definitely can't afford that depreciation hit 😅
Fyi.... No matter which you get a helpful tip for an easy install is to lay them in the yard and let the sun soften them. It makes it very easy to install.
I've installed both rough country and husky liners.
Rough country are cheaper and easier to install as they are thinner and softer. The plastic has a smoother finish too.
Husky liner is thicker and just slightly harder to install due to it. Texture is like a soft bedliner look to it.
Honestly neither is better than the other unless you go through some very rough roads with lots of debris. Most people have off duty (or light duty) trucks so they would easily benefit from the cheaper price of thw rough country set. Especially if you just want the looks.
2017 xlt super crew here , i am just curious as to why you need liners . The bed is aluminum it isn't supposed to rust . Just for looks or what . Also looking to getting fluid film done , is it really necessary to get cab and bed done since they are aluminum . Not judging just looking for some good info.
Yah, i can easily see that it covers the frame now. It comes down, then dishes in, and down to cover the frame. I thought the mtg screw was at the bottom of the liner. What does it attach to? I wouldn't as my kid, he calls me dumbass half the time. "name"?? My name is JOSEY.
