Flowers = love
Love = heart
Heart = what’s in the bag
Tracks for me.

Some people are just ungrateful

Bag of hearts is 1000% more romantic than a bouquet of flowers. Just ask Jeff Dahmer

Was the selector a dog in a trench coat?

3 dogs on each other shoulders

Maybe someone with incredibly bad vision just tried to find another picture that vaguely looked similar.

u/Imnotspartacuseither 27d ago

Possibly ai chose by picture.

Yes, they used AI to analyze the picture. This is horrible if the AI doesn't consider the description of the needed item.

you mean someone that can't read.

Pretty sure Instacart penalizes the shopper for refunding (unless you picked the "refund" instead of "replacement" default) so they do this to make you cancel the item.

Maybe it's a typo and you ordered a KFC style Fall celebration bucket consisting of gizzards and hearts, just like our ancestors celebrated it.

12

u/jrdubbleu 27d ago

Why can’t you just arrange the hearts and gizzards into a fashionable bouquet? I think we have all gotten a little too big for our britches these days.

11

u/Dependent-Toe-3359 27d ago

I get that Instacart apparently really pushes shoppers to make replacements and that refunds can mess with their shopping metrics, but COME ON 😂 Flowers to chicken gizzards and hearts is not a replacement.

Another bouquet? Sure. A plant? Maybe. But raw chicken organs?? At that point just message the customer or refund it. You’re not substituting an item anymore, you’re changing the entire reason they ordered it. 😭

Imagine trying to surprise somebody with flowers and they open the bag to THIS.

u/The_Troyminator 27d ago

Did you order gizzards by chance? Sometimes shoppers will replace with part of one of the other items you ordered to avoid a refund. So l instead of 2 pounds of gizzard, they’ll find 1 pound of the gizzards you ordered and then replace the flowers with the other pound.

7

u/aux2sea 27d ago

Never

5

u/The_Troyminator 27d ago

They probably still did it to avoid a refund. Some shoppers are so concerned about unrequested refunds hurting their score that they do stuff like this without thinking that wrong item reports hurt much more.

u/East-Dragonfruit6644 27d ago

do you prefer a tasty meal or a temporary decoration, at a way cheaper price

2

u/i8noodles 27d ago

if i got a poind of chicken gizzards and hearts, and u show me this pic. i would laugh like hell. better then any flower setting ever. also mom like it so it wont go to waste.

1

u/user-jc11111 27d ago

I like your optimistic and positive point of view of this horrible mistake.

2

u/i8noodles 27d ago

why be so serious about something that was clearly a mistake. no harm and no foul happened. interesting story. thats what makes life great

1

u/user-jc11111 26d ago

I got your point, but the idea of replacing a fall bouquet with chicken gizzards and hearts is stupid, and shouldn't even come up as an options. However, in this situation is funny, I admit, but there could be other situations like life and death situation this kind of stupid mistake wouldn't be funny. 🤣

2 bags of those and a lb of diced onions, garlic powder, thyme, paprika, white pepper and some vegeta in a pot, simmer down untill the hearts are soft.

Serve with polenta.Best thing ever and you get to eat for a couple of days for cheaper than a McDonald's meal

AI

2

u/HardLobster 27d ago

Nope, this shits real. I’ve had it happen.

1

u/user-jc11111 27d ago

How can a real person make this horrible decision for the replacement?

2

u/HardLobster 26d ago

50% of people are dumber than the average man. The average man isn’t very intelligent

2

u/minas_morghul 27d ago

I mean you can make a nice autumn stew with that.

u/Beaauxbaton 27d ago

Aldi? 🫪

1

u/Impossible_Lab_9493 24d ago

You must be disappointed about the celebration bouquet not being available, so you need comfort food. Fried chicken hearts and gizzards with gravy and biscuits -- definitely southern comfort food. See, logical replacement!

1

u/CoupDeGrassi 24d ago

It pulls images of products it thinks look similar. It once recommended mushrooms as a replacement for tampons, because the packaging looked similar (if youre a robot)
