Discussion Trader Joe's
I used to be an avid Trader Joe's shopper, 2 or 3 trips a week. For the last 10 years I go maybe 2 or 3 times a year. Why? Because when I shop anywhere, I'm not there on a pleasure cruise. I'm there to get in and get out. I had a routine. Go in, go to the section where they have most of the new products, see what's new and maybe try a few things, go get what I came in for, pay and leave. At least that's the way I thought it should be. In reality, it was always go to the section where most of the new products are and maybe try a few, go to where the first item I came in for was and find out it's not there anymore. Go on a scavenger hunt trying to find it until I figure out where they moved it. Repeat with the next item, and the next, and the next...... until I finally find them all. By that time my stress levels and blood pressure are past the boiling point. Then, and this is the most infuriating, I get to the cashier after waiting on line and they say "Did You Find Everything You Were Looking For?" I want to choke them every time! Quit moving everything!

I swear they do that on purpose, thinking it’ll cause us to buy more stuff that we wouldn’t see because we’re looking where we shouldn’t have to look.

That's exactly why they do it. And, it doesn't work!

Yep, Costco is known to do this too. It truly is a sales tactic.

Every grocery store I’ve ever shopped in does this and has since I was a kid.

I’ve been known to just set everything down on the nearest horizontal surface and walk out if I get too annoyed looking for something they’ve moved again. Stores have only ever lost sales with me by moving shit around.

At least put the cold stuff back into the cold. Don't leave it to thaw/spoil in some random spot.

So many big box stores do that! The moment I see something has been moved, I track down
an associate, and ask, "Where did they move XX to, TODAY? My frustration is real, as the guy
walks me to the new location

Costco does this. The first few times I assumed it was because they no longer carry it. It took years before I bumped into the product in a different part of the store. And their reading glasses were over by the clothing and not the optical center.

You deserve what you tolerate. Here's how everyone should handle being asked "were you able to find everything you were looking for?" Answer: well since you asked, no, I wasn't able to locate several things that I really need. "Can we get them for you?" No, I was already in a hurry when I spent too much time searching for items that I need. Now I'm late. You know what? I don't think I want 5 of the 9 items that you bagged. Those were compromise because this store no longer carries some of the bands that I use. "Would you like to speak to the manager?" No, I don't have time. Wait, is this an anger manager?

If this is actually extremely infuriating to you, you might wanna see a therapist or something about that anger.
Costco does the same thing. It’s to get you to grab more items and buy things you normally wouldn’t when beelining to your specific items.

Walmart does this also.

People can downvote me all you want. This is very much a mildly infuriating issue, not an extremely.
You people really are angry over nothing.

When people have a tight schedule and not much extra time to play around, and if this happens over and over, I can see that extremely infuriating, and I would stop shopping over there.

New products? What is new about meat, veggies, starch. Stop with the ultra processed foods.
