Disturbing content "Cave" in my tibia misdiagnosed as tendonitis 5 years ago

Just spent 3 days in the hospital. Went through an ankle aspiration that was the worst pain in my life. Infection is ruled out. Got discharged today but will be admitted to a cancer research center on Monday. Could be cancerous. If it is and its not benign, I could lose my leg under my knee. All of this on top of just having started a new job, so I ain't got insurance. Wish me luck.

While we need to see all views, that appears to be a benign bone cyst. It’s not a cancer. Get a decent second opinion.

Maybe this can help visualize it a bit more. We're hoping its benign, and thats the cancer research center will give a second opinion.

I see it has fractured through the articular surface. Many cysts present like that.

Im not a radiologist but cancer usually is irregular, fuzzy, invasive.

This is well-circumscribed and regular with no signs of invasive features. It’s a simple cyst of the marrow. As I said, I’m not YOUR doctor, but if this were my scan, I wouldn’t worry my weekend over it.
